Cambiando las gomas de la tapa válvulas [ESP/ENG]

Espero todos se encuentren muy bien, y que tengan una gran semana.

Cómo les conté unos días atrás el carro presentaba una falla en una de las bujías porque esta se llenaba de aceite y tenía que quitarla, limpiarla y volver a colocársela, el mecánico me había comentado que podría ser que estaba pasando aceite por las gomas de los cilindros de la tapa válvula o por el Gasket Rocker, así que decidí comprar todos los repuestos que necesitaba.

Pero en estos días llegó a un punto en que no me duraba prácticamente nada la bujía limpia, decidí parar el carro el miércoles de Semana Santa y llame al mecánico para ver cuando podía llevar el carro.

El mecánico me dijo que lo llevará el martes después de Semana Santa, así que se lo llevé ayer. Lo primero que hizo fue desconectar la válvula PCV y otras mangueras. Con un destornillador sacó los tornillos de la tapa válvula y la retiró. La revisó y la goma del Gasket Rocker estaba rota, chequeó las gomas de la tapa válvulas y una de ellas estaba partida y había aceite en su interior. Lo curioso es que la bujía de ese cilindro donde estaba la goma partida nunca falló.

Luego procedió a limpiar la tapa válvula con gasolina y a remover todo el silicón pegado de la cámara y le pasó un trapo húmedo con gasolina para limpiarlo. Ya todo limpio, procedió a colocar las gomas nuevas de la tapa válvula, le colocó silicón gris y también en la cámara en puntos específicos. Cambió la bujía y procedió a armar todo de nuevo.

Después limpió la válvula PCV y la revisó, me dijo que estaba dañada y no hacía su función, así que me recomendó que comprara una. Me sugirió que comprara para Toyota, él ha montado de esas y salen muy buenas.

Ya por último se prendió el carro para chequear que todo estaba bien, se sentía sereno y sin la falla, lo maneje todo el día y hasta el momento ha marchado bien.

As I told you a few days ago the car had a failure in one of the spark plugs because it was filled with oil and I had to remove it, clean it and put it back, the mechanic had told me that it could be that it was passing oil through the rubbers of the cylinders of the valve cover or the Gasket Rocker, so I decided to buy all the parts I needed.

But these days it got to a point where the spark plug was not lasting practically nothing clean, I decided to stop the car on Wednesday of Easter and call the mechanic to see when I could take the car.

The mechanic told me that he will take it on Tuesday after Easter, so I took it to him yesterday. The first thing he did was disconnect the PCV valve and other hoses. With a screwdriver he took the screws out of the valve cover and removed it. He checked it and the Gasket Rocker rubber was broken, checked the valve cover rubbers and one of them was split and there was oil inside. The curious thing is that the spark plug in that cylinder where the rubber was split never failed.

Then he proceeded to clean the valve cover with gasoline and remove all the silicone stuck to the chamber and wiped it with a damp rag with gasoline to clean it. Once everything was clean, he proceeded to place the new rubbers on the valve cover, put gray silicone on it and also on the chamber in specific points. He changed the spark plug and proceeded to put everything back together again.

Then he cleaned the PCV valve and checked it, he told me that it was damaged and was not doing its job, so he recommended me to buy one. He suggested me to buy one for Toyota, he has assembled those and they are very good.

Finally the car was turned on to check that everything was ok, it felt serene and without the failure, I drove it all day and so far it has been running well.
