Miranda inicia en el ajedrez [Esp/Eng]

Espero todos se encuentren muy bien, feliz inicio de semana para todos.

Hoy les quiero compartir una nueva experiencia con mi hija Miranda. Ella siempre ha sido una niña activa y desde muy pequeñita ha estado en actividades aparte de su escuela, como el ballet y la orquesta. Ahorita está solo en la orquesta porque tuvimos que sacarla por un tiempo del ballet por lo caro que se puso y ella apenas la retiramos, ya quería buscar qué otra cosa hacer.

Creo que se parece a su mamá que le gusta hacer mil cosas a la vez. La cosa es que ya nos hizo preguntar por clases de pintura y de un momento a otro quiso jugar ajedrez. Ella siempre va a los torneos de su hermano, pero nunca mostró interés y eso que los organizadores le decían siempre porque no hay casi niñas y ella siempre decía que no.

Pero de repente hace unos días dijo que quería jugar. Ella no sabe mucho, solo mover las piezas y es algo distraída y el ajedrez es un juego de concentración, pero a su mamá le gusta que hagan todo lo que puedan, entonces la inscribimos para un torneo de principiantes que de casualidad salió en estos días.

Los niños no eran tan principiantes como se suponía eran y no le fue bien, pero la academia como ella era la única niña de su categoría recibió premios y aunque estaba triste por no ganar ninguna partida, ella se sintió contenta por los regalos.

Creo que tenemos que ver si de verdad le gusta y explicarle que ese deporte necesita dedicación, es muy competitivo y en este estado más. Los niños tienen mucho nivel, así que hay que hablar con ella porque también hay que orientarlos, eso es parte del apoyo.

Por ahora vamos a ver si podemos pagarle clases particulares a ella y Matías y veremos cómo va todo.

Today I want to share with you a new experience with my daughter Miranda. She has always been an active child and since she was very little she has been in activities apart from her school, like ballet and orchestra. Right now she is only in the orchestra because we had to take her out of ballet for a while due to how expensive it got and as soon as we withdrew her, she wanted to find something else to do.

I think she is like her mother who likes to do a thousand things at the same time. The thing is that she already made us ask for painting classes and from one moment to the next she wanted to play chess. She always goes to her brother's tournaments, but she never showed interest and the organizers always told her why there are almost no girls and she always said no. But suddenly a few days ago she said she wanted to play chess.

But suddenly a few days ago she said she wanted to play. She doesn't know much, just moving the pieces and she is a bit distracted and chess is a game of concentration, but her mom likes them to do everything they can, so we signed her up for a beginners' tournament that happened to come out these days.

The kids were not as beginners as they were supposed to be and she didn't do well, but the academy as she was the only girl in her category received prizes and although she was sad for not winning any games, she was happy for the gifts.

I think we have to see if she really likes it and explain to her that this sport needs dedication, it is very competitive and even more so in this state. The kids have a high level, so we have to talk to her because we also have to guide them, that is part of the support.

For now we are going to see if we can pay for private lessons for her and Matias and we will see how everything goes.
