Zwinger - a baroque palace complex with gardens in Dresden
Hello everyone!
Actually, my series of posts about a trip to the Czech Republic should start with this as it was the first stop on the tour. After a few hours by car, we chose Dresden as the first stop. We didn't have much time for sightseeing as the main goal of the first day was to get to Prague and we had one more stop planned on the way. Since time was a limitation, we started with the main attraction of Dresden, i.e. the Zwinger palace complex. It was built in stages in the years 1709–1732 at the request of Augustus II the Strong, Elector of Saxony and, from 1697, the King of Poland.
Witam wszystkich!
The Crown Gate - entrance from the south-west from Ostra-Allee Street to the Zwinger palace area, on the top there are sculptures of four Polish eagles and the Polish royal crown.
The cartouche with the coat of arms of the First Polish Republic can be found at the Crown Gate and in the pavilions.

In 1945, the Zwinger was almost completely destroyed during the bombing. Reconstruction after the war ended in 1963.

The wedding of the son of August II, Frederick August II, with Maria Józefa took place in Zwinger. Frederick Augustus II in 1733 became the king of Poland as August III.
W Zwingerze odbył się ślub syna Augusta II, Fryderyka Augusta II z Marią Józefą. Fryderyk August II w 1733 roku został królem Polski jako August III.

On the left, the Wall Pavilion, on the right, the French Pavilion. As you can see in the photo, renovation works were underway and it was not possible to enter everywhere.
Z lewej Pawilon Wałowy, z prawej Pawilon Francuski.

There were a lot of tourists and it was difficult to make the frame without them.
Turystów było sporo i ciężko było wykonać kadr bez nich.

Unfortunately, the limited time allowed only for sightseeing from the outside and I did not have the opportunity to see what the buildings hide inside.
Thanks for your visit and best regards
Dzięki za wizytę i pozdrawiam

@rsphotos Beautiful photos, beautiful Palace, I love detailing the photos I see them over and over again. the particularity that I saw in some of them exactly in the order: number 9, 16 and 17 when I look at them, it seems that behind their windows is the sea.
