Amazon Music announced that Maestro, a new AI playlist generator, is now available on all Amazon Music tiers in beta for a subset of US customers using iOS and Android. Last week, I talked about in my post that Spotify started using artificial intelligence to generate new playlists and made the AI Playlist tool available in beta. If you want to take a look, click here.

It looks like Spotify isn't the only company trying to use AI to generate playlists, and Amazon Music has hinted it will do the same or even better, according to its blog. Amazon Music says Maestro will make it easier and way more fun to build playlists you want, whenever you want. Maestro allows you to create playlists using spoken or written prompts, which can even contain emojis. Additionally, when creating a playlist, users will be able to write prompts containing activities, sounds or emotions, as well as emojis. It will even help you create any playlist you can think of, as well as the ones you can't, so users can choose from prompt suggestions at the bottom of the screen.

Meet Maestro | Amazon Music

For now, Maestro is available in the US on iOS and Android to a "subset" of free Amazon Music users, as well as Prime customers and Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers. To access Maestro, users need to have the latest version of the Amazon Music mobile app. To create an AI Playlist, users will need to tap on the Maestro option on their home screen, or when they tap on the plus sign to create a new playlist, they will also see the option to use Maestro. Additionally, Amazon says it will be available to more customers over time.

Some examples of Maestro prompts on the Amazon blog

  • 😭 and eating 🍝
  • Make my 👶 a genius
  • Myspace era hip-hop
  • 🏜️🌵🤠
  • Music my grandparents made out to
  • 🎤🚿🧼
  • I tracked my friends and they’re all hanging out without me

How to get started

  1. Download the latest version of the Amazon Music mobile app
  2. Customers who are in the beta will see Maestro either on their home screen, or when they tap the plus sign where they usually create a new playlist
  3. Talk or type your playlist idea
  4. Tap "Let's go!" to stream your playlist
  5. Save and share with friends

Artificial intelligence (AI) is entering our lives more and more every day. I think using such AI tools will be both fun and make our lives easier. Quickly creating playlists with AI for parties, trips, new songs and so on will make our job easier. I don't know yet if they will be able to give the right results for us, but I think they will be able to give the right or close results going forward. Spotify's AI Playlist and Amazon's Maestro are not available to me yet, but I can't wait to use them.

Enjoy the music and stay with Love.

Question of the Day : What do you think of AI playlist tools? or Do you use any AI playlist tools? If you don't have an answer to this question, You can talk about your favorite song or anything related to music in your comment.

I don't use any AI playlists but I think they could be useful. It doesn't replace Musicians so I think its nice to have around

Congratulations @imfarhad! Count me in for another round, please! Thank you so very much!

I haven't tried the Amazon or the Spotify AI playlist generators yet myself. I do think that this is a good use is AI, as I can see just how useful it could be. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

thanks for the starbits.
AI should be used as a tool to enhance the music and not as an alternative to create music.
I don't create music, so no AI tools.

I don't use any. I prefer choosing my music. However, I think they are good for people that want to discover new music.
