Let's talk about AIMLESS Ruleset this week for the Share your Battle Weekly Challenge. When the battle's ruleset has the Aimless ruleset, all monsters in battle have the Scattershot Ability.

  • Aimless Ruleset : All Monsters have the Scattershot ability.
  • Scattershot Ability : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.

Frankly, random attacks sometimes work well, sometimes they don't, so it is necessary to determine much better strategies in battles with Aimless ruleset. But I can say that Magic Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability are more effective in battles, so I generally prefer Magic Attack Monsters in battles with Aimless ruleset. But sometimes according to my strategy, I prefer Melee Attack Monsters But I would like to say that Melee Attack Monsters ignore the Scattershot Ability. Frankly, I don’t prefer Ranged Attack Monsters in battles with the Aimless ruleset, but according to my strategy, I may need to use them in some battles. In short, I think Magic Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability are more effective in battles, but I think Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability are not very effective. This is purely my personal opinion, if you think differently, I would be very happy if you tell me in the comments.

This Week's Challenge: BATTLE MAGE SECRETS

RULESET: AIMLESS

Description: All monsters have the Scattershot ability.

Battle Ruleset
Explosive Weaponry
Odd Ones Out
Aimless
Only Life, Death, and Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 56

  • Explosive Weaponry rule means All Monsters have the Blast ability.
  • Odd Ones Out rule means only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
  • Aimless rule means all Monsters have the Scattershot ability.

Blast Ability : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.
Scattershot ability : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, I reviewed the opposing player's last 5 battles, especially seeing that the opposing player had very powerful Melee Attack Monster cards and generally preferred Monsters with the Sneak Ability. I could guess that the opposing player would prefer Monsters with Sneak Ability in this battle as well, but in this battle, all monsters would have Scattershot and Blast Abilities according to the battle ruleset, so I had to consider every possibility in my strategy.

  • Sneak Ability : Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

First of all, I considered that the opposing player would prefer Monsters with the Sneak Ability, and I thought put AGOR LONGTAIL with Taunt and Flying Abilities in the first position would give my team an advantage, and I've decided to put CARNAGE TITAN, which has high armor and health, and Reach and Double Strike Abilities, in second position on my team. And in the last position I decided to put RUNIC SKYCLAW, which is quite fast and has the Flying Ability, because RUNIC SKYCLAW has a chance to evade Melee and Ranged Attacks. In a battle like this, I needed a Monster with Tank Heal Ability, but unfortunately I didn't have a Tank Heal Ability card in the odd-mana cost Life and Dragon Units. But I had to add a Monster with Repair Ability to my team. I also put 2 Magic Attack Monsters on the back line because all monsters will have Blast Ability and Magic Attack Monsters with Blast Ability can be very effective in battles. And finally, I set the line-up of the monsters in my team according to their abilities, armor, health.

  • Tank Heal Ability : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.

Frankly, I thought this strategy would work well against Melee Attack Monsters, but if the opposing player uses Magic Attack or Ranged Attack Monsters, the battle may be very difficult for me and winning the battle may depend on luck. But despite everything, teaming up with a good strategy gives the team a great advantage in many battles.

LINE UP

Summoner : DELWYN DRAGONSCALE

In this battle, I chose Delwyn Dragonscale as Summoner so that Magic Attack Monsters can attack targets more powerfully. Delwyn Dragonscale gives +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters. So that Magic Attack Monsters in my team would be able to attack targets more powerfully.

Position 1: AGOR LONGTAIL

Agor Longtail has Flying, Taunt, and Void Armor Abilities at level 2. Agor Longtail attacks targets with 2 Magic Attack and 3 Melee Attacks and has 3 speed, 6 armor and 13 health at level 2. The reasons why I put Agor Longtail in first position in this battle was because of its abilities, 6 armor and 13 health.

  • Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
  • Taunt Ability : All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
  • Void Armor Ability : Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health.

Position 2: CARNAGE TITAN

Carnage Titan has Reach and Double Strike Abilities at level 1. Carnage Titan attacks the target with 2 Melee Attacks and has 3 speed, 7 armor and 8 health at level 1. The most important reason why I put Carnage Titan in second position on my team was because it has the Reach Ability, 7 armor and 8 health.

  • Reach Ability : Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.
  • Double Strike : Monster attacks twice each round.

Position 3: CHAOS AGENT

Chaos Agent has Dodge Ability, 3 speed and 2 health at level 4. The only reason I added Chaos Agent to my team was because it only cost 1 mana and I put him in third position.

  • Dodge Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.

Position 4 : ADELADE BRIGHTWING

Adelade Brightwing has Flying and Repair Abilities at level 1. Adelade Brightwing attacks the target with 2 Magic Attacks and has 1 speed, 5 health at level 1. The main reason for adding Adelaide Brightwing to the team was that she has the Repair Ability and since she only has 5 health, I put her in the fourth position.

  • Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
  • Repair Ability : Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

Position 5: DJINN RENOVA

Djinn Renova has the Strengthen Ability from level 1. Djinn Renova attacks the target with 2 Magic Attacks and has 3 speed, 6 health at level 2. I thought it would be advantageous for all monsters in the team to have +1 more health in this battle, so I added Djinn Renova to the team and put her in the fifth position.

  • Strengthen Ability : All friendly Monsters have increased Health.

Position 6: RUNIC SKYCLAW

Runic Skyclaw has Flying and Snipe Abilities from level 1. Runic Skyclaw attacks the target with 3 Ranged Attacks and has 6 speed, 3 armor and 5 health at level 2. The main reason I added Runic Skyclaw to my team was because she's pretty fast and has the Flying Ability. She has a great chance to evade Melee and Ranged Attacks and I put her in the last position.

  • Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
  • Snipe Ability : Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

battle18032023.png
Battle Link

Frankly, the opposing team was quite powerful and the opposing player had teamed up with a strategy close to my guess. I didn't like the fact that the level 3 URIEL THE PURIFIER was in the first position because it wouldn't be easy to destroy him. In the first round, both teams were attacking targets powerfully, but Sneak Monsters on the opposing team were having trouble damaging Agor Longtail. But Agor Longtail was poisoned by Silvershield Assassin, and that wasn't good at all, it could break my strategy. In the first round, a monster on the opposing team was destroyed as a result of my team's effective attacks.

Round 2

round2.png

In the first round, a monster was destroyed on the opposing team, while all monsters were still alive on my team. That's why in the second round, my team started with an advantage. And the opposing team was having a hard time destroying Agor Longtail, but URIEL THE PURIFIER attacked very brutally and managed to destroy Agor Longtail also causing Carnage Titan to take some serious damage and his powerful attack was really admirable. But this was not enough to win the battle because in the second round 3 more monsters from the opposing team were destroyed and the opponent had no chance to win this battle.

Round 3

round3.png

In the third round, only two monsters remained on the opposing team, and they only had 1 health. So it wasn't hard to destroy them and my team managed to win this pretty tough battle.

round32.png

Even though the battle was a 56 mana battle, it only lasted 3 rounds, only one monster in my team was destroyed while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed. My strategy worked really well in this battle, and we've also seen how effective Magic Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability are in such battles. I recommend you to watch this great battle and the weekly challenge from the video or battle link.

BATTLE RESULTS

MY OPINION

To be honest, the Aimless ruleset is one of the rulesets I have had the most difficulty with when determining strategy, because Ranged and Magic Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability randomly attack targets, which prevents me from setting more stable strategies in battles. Also, random attacks of monsters on targets sometimes work well and sometimes not, so in battles with Aimless ruleset, the luck factor is very important in winning the battle. Also, I'd like to point out that Melee Attack Monsters ignore the Scattershot Ability, but according to my strategy, I might prefer Melee Attack Monsters in some battles. But I can say that Magic Attack Monsters with the Scattershot Ability are much more effective in battles, we saw this very clearly in the above battle. That's why I prefer Magic Attack Monsters in these types of battles. Also, giving monsters extra armor in such battles can give the team a huge advantage. I didn't have a chance to do that with monsters that cost odd mana in this battle so I couldn't give them armor, but if I had the opportunity, I would add a Monster with the Protect Ability to the team without hesitation. Finally, I would like to point out that understanding the battle rulesets well and analyzing the opponent well helps a lot in determining better strategies. And when I can team up with a good strategy, I can win many battles, even the toughest ones, so I think it's very important to have a good strategy before the battle. I'm also curious about your thoughts on the Aimless ruleset, and I would be very happy if you specify it in the comment.

  • Protect Ability : All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor.

What are your thoughts on the battle and Aimless Ruleset? I would be glad if you write your thoughts in the comments.

Great victory buddy. I came up against the same opponent and beat him with the same summoner you used, he should be scared of Immortal Gods 6 lol.

Lol, when I saw your battle I recalled coming up against a similar opponent and when I checked I was correct.
They shouldn't mess with us.

It's really great that you remember that, I don't even look at the opponent's name most of the time 😅😆 This may be because I focus more on the opponent's cards :P

They shouldn't mess with us.

When I see level 4 summoners, I think of you before I click the Create Team button. I don't pay attention to names other than yours. Hahaha! I have now added the level 3 LOBB to my list. :P
