Immortalis Summoner Card Review | Splinterlands Social Media Challenge

(Edited)

Immortalis is a very powerful Earth Summoner that grants Void Ability and Shatter Ability to all friendly monsters and reduces the health of all enemy monsters by 1. To be honest, until last month, Immortalis was not a summoner that I preferred much in battles, but after I upgraded it to level 2 last month, I had the chance to use it more in battles and its performance in battles was actually much more amazing than I expected. Immortalis has now become one of my favorite summoners. It makes the team much more powerful, especially against magic attack monsters and monsters with high armor.

Immortalis Stats

Immortalis is a Legendary Summoner in the Earth Unit and costs 6 mana. When you choose Immortalis as Summoner in battles;

  • All enemy Monsters have -1 Health

  • All friendly Monsters receive the Void ability at the start of the battle.

  • All friendly Monsters receive the Shatter ability at the start of the battle.

  • Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%.

  • Shatter Ability : Target's armor is destroyed when hit by an attack from Units with Shatter.

Void Ability and Shatter Ability are both very powerful abilities, and the fact that all monsters in the team have both abilities in battle makes the team incredibly superior to their opponents in some battles. I can say that Immortalis helps me win many battles, even against very powerful opponents.

I bought a copy of the Immortalis card on February 21, 2024 for $9. Considering the current prices, I see that I bought it quite cheaply. Honestly, if I had known it was such a powerful card, I would have bought it without hesitation when it was first released, because it really helps me win some battles. I think it is one of the summoner cards that should be in every deck, and when you use it with a good strategy, it will help you win even the toughest battles. I will leave the links of some of the battles below to serve as an example.

Shatter Ability

  • Shatter Ability : Target's armor is destroyed when hit by an attack from Units with Shatter.

When a Monster with the Shatter Ability hits its target, it doesn't matter how much armor the target has, and all of it is destroyed.

The 2 examples above clearly show how brutal the Shatter Ability is for enemies with high armor. That's exactly why I love this ability so much.

Void Ability

  • Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%.

Monsters with Void Ability reduce the damage caused by magic attacks by 50%, so Void Ability is an ability that can work very well against magic attack monsters. It can be incredibly effective against Blast Ability and Magic Reflect Ability, especially in battles with magic attack monsters.

For example, since this battle has the Explosive Weaponry ruleset, all monsters have the Blast Ability. In this battle, even though the opposing team seemed more powerful, the fact that all the monsters in my team had Void Ability made my team more powerful in the battle. Thanks to Immortalis, my team won this battle very easily.

  • Blast Ability : Does half damage (rounded up) to Units adjacent to the target Unit.

Since this battle has the Counterspell ruleset, all monsters have the Magic Reflect Ability. In fact, in battles with the Counterspell ruleset, using magic attack monsters is a big disadvantage, but not for those with the void ability. So, when you choose Immortalis, you do not need to be afraid of the Magic Reflect Ability. I would also like to point out that in the above battle, the opposing player's summoner was level 8. Additionally, while the magic attack monsters on the opposing team took back damage from Magic Reflect, the magic attack monsters on my team did not take back damage from Magic Reflect because they had Void Ability.

  • Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.

It is possible to give many more examples, I will also leave many battle links below, I recommend you to watch them if you have time.

Using magic attack monsters against Immortalis is not advantageous at all, so I do not prefer magic attack monsters when I feel like I will fight against Immortalis.

For example, in this battle, both the opposing player and I chose Immortalis as the summoner, but while the opposing player preferred magic attack monsters, I preferred ranged attack monsters, so my strategy worked better.

In short, upgrading my Immortalis card to level 2 was one of the best investments I've made recently. I wish I had discovered how powerful and useful it was sooner, and I would have added it to my deck the moment it was released without hesitation. But it's never too late for anything, so I'm lucky to have the level 2 Immortalis card now and I can say that it is one of my priority cards that I will upgrade to the max level in the future. I think it's a summoner card that every deck should have.

Links to some of my recent battles using my Immortalis card, including the battles above : Battle Link 1 - Battle Link 2 - Battle Link 3 - Battle Link 4 - Battle Link 5 - Battle Link 6 - Battle Link 7 - Battle Link 8 - Battle Link 9 - Battle Link 10 - Battle Link 11 - Battle Link 12 - Battle Link 13 - Battle Link 14

Even though it's only been about 3 weeks since I upgraded my Immortalis card to level 2, it has already helped me win dozens of battles and I shared the links of some of them with you above, I hope you like it and the post will help you. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, I would be happy to answer your questions.

What do you think about the Immortalis Summoner card?
