Let's talk about NERISSA TRIDAWN this week for the Share Your Battle Weekly Challenge. Nerissa Tridawn is a Epic Monster in the Water Unit that attacks the target with Magic Attacks. Nerissa Tridawn doesn't have any abilities, but she is a proud warrior of the water who can attack targets powerfully. Nerissa Tridawn has 3 Magic Attacks, 2 speed and 9 health at level 1 so I can ignore her lack of any abilities. Frankly, Nerissa Tridawn is a powerful Monster that can be effective in battles, and I would like to point out that she can be much more effective when used with a good strategy. Nerissa Tridawn can help me win many battles, even the toughest ones.

I usually use Nerissa Tridawn with Alric Stormbringer and Delwyn Dragonscale Summoners because thanks to them Nerissa Tridawn can attack the target more powerfully. Alric Stormbringer and Delwyn Dragonscale give +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters. I would like to point out that since Nerissa Tridawn can attack the target strongly, I can use her with other Water, Dragon and Neutral Summoners and she can adapt to many of my strategies. According to my strategy, I can put Nerissa Tridawn in all positions in my team except the first position, but I take care to keep her away from enemy attacks since there is not much chance of avoiding enemy attacks. Because I would never want such a powerful Monster to be destroyed early.

THE LORE

Nerissa is a proud warrior of the water. Armed with her enchanted trident, she defends the seas, the rivers, and the lakes. She is well known across coastal villages, and they often call on her for help. She has slain great sea beasts that would otherwise kill everyone in their path. She has rescued sailors from hurricanes, and even warned villages of incoming tsunamis to save lives. Her bravery and brilliance in battle have led to her being called Nerissa the Hurricane.

Nerissa was born and raised by the ocean, and could swim before she could walk. She always felt the sea called to her. And within her it stirred a deep magic. An ancient mana of tides and waves. Nerissa answered the call, and travels between the continents of the Splinterlands.

When settlers and explorers made their way to Praetoria, Nerissa was there to help with every step of the journey. But the blight that gripped the land worried her deeply. Its corruption spread into the waters that she loved so dearly. She often caught herself crossing paths with Igor the Finback and his tribe of Trench Dwellers. Each time she had to pull back or risk all of them attacking her at once.

When Nerissa learned of the deeper plot of the Chaos Legion, she vowed to defend Praetoria and its inhabitants with her life.

As seen in the picture above, NERISSA TRIDAWN has no abilities, but as her level is upgrated, her Magic Attack Power, Speed and Health increase. Nerissa Tridawn is a Epic Monster in the Water Unit that belongs to the Chaos Legion edition. Nerissa Tridawn costs 9 mana and has 3 Magic Attack, 2 speed, 9 health at level 1. Also, when Nerissa Tridawn is upgraded to level 2, her health is increased by 1, upgraded to level 3 increases her speed by 1, upgraded to level 4 increases her magic attack by 1, upgraded to level 5 increases her health by 1. And She has 5 Magic Attacks, 3 Speed and 11 health when upgraded to the latest level 6.

The only downside to Nerissa Tridawn is that she has little chance to evade enemy attacks, which can make it easier for enemies to destroy her. That's why I need to use Nerissa Tridawn with a good strategy in battles.

Opportunity Ability : Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
Magic Reflect Ability : When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opposing player had quite powerful cards. Honestly, it was very difficult for me to predict what strategy the opposing player would team up with in this battle, but considering the battle ruleset, I could guess that the opposing player would not prefer Magic Attack Monsters. I thought the opposing player might prefer Melee Attack Monsters* or Ranged Attack Monsters. Considering the cards the opposing player had, my odds of winning this battle with Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters were very slim. So to win this batte, I had to take a big risk in this batte. Although the battle ruleset has the Counterspell rule, I decided that Magic Attack Monsters would be more helpful in helping me win the battle. It was definitely a big risk, but I had more hope that the Magic Attack Monsters could win this battle.

In this battle, I preferred my strongest **Magic Attack Monsters because the mana value of the battle allowed it. I also thought that putting a Monster with the the Taunt Ability in the first position and adding a Monster with the Resurrect Ability to my team would give my team an advantage in this battle. I determined my strategy accordingly and formed my team as follows.

LINE UP

Summoner : DELWYN DRAGONSCALE

Since I prefer Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, I wanted them to attack targets more powerfully, so I chose Delwyn Dragonscale as the Summoner. Delwyn Dragonscale gives +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters. Thanks to Delwyn Dragonscale, my team would be able to attack targets more powerfully.

Position 1: AGOR LONGTAIL

Agor Longtail is a very powerful monster that can attack the target with both Magic Attacks and Melee Attacks. Also, Agor Longtail has the Flying Ability, the Taunt Ability and the Void Armor Ability, 2 Magic Attack, 3 Melee Attack, 3 speed, 6 armor and 11 health, at level 1. I knew that she could both defend powerfully and attack the target powerfully. That's why I added her to my team and put her in first position.

• Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
• Taunt Ability : All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
• Void Armor Ability : Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health.

Position 2: DJINN OSHANNUS

Djinn Oshannus is a Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has 2 Magic Attack, 5 speed, 11 health, the Void Ability and the Phase Ability at level 2. I thought that after Agor Longtail was destroyed, Djinn Oshannus would make a stronger defense against the opposing team's attacks in the first position. That's why I added Djinn Oshannus to my team and put him in second position.

• Void Ability : Reduced damage from Magic attacks.
• Phase Ability : Magic attacks can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks).

Position 3: NERISSA TRIDAWN

Nerissa Tridawn is a powerful Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks as I mentioned above. I badly needed powerful attacking monsters in this battle, so without hesitation in this battle, I added Nerissa Tridawn to my team and put her in third position.

Position 4: RIVER HELLONDALE

River Hellondale is a Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has 2 Magic Attack, 2 speed, 1 armor, 4 health, the Resurrect Ability at level 1. The most important reason I added him to my team in this battle was because he has the Resurrect Ability. When a monster on my team was destroyed, it could be brought back to life thanks to River Hellondale. Especially bringing a monster like Agor Longtail back to life would give my team an advantage in this battle. I put River Hellondale in fourth position on my team.

• Resurrect Ability : When a friendly Monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.

Position 5: RUNEMANCER KYE

Runemancer Kye is a powerful Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has the Flying Ability and the Life Leech Ability, 2 Magic Attacks, 3 speed, 5 armor, 8 health at level 1. I thought a monster with Flying and Life Leech Abilities would be especially useful in a battle like this. I put Runemancer Kye in fifth position on my team.

• Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
• Life Leech Ability : Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt.

Position 6: CHAOS DRAGON

Chaos Dragon is a powerful Monster that can attack the target with Magic Attacks and has the Flying Ability, the Scattershot Ability and the Blast Ability, 3 Magic Attacks, 3 speed, 4 armor, 10 health at level 2. The most important reason why I chose Chaos Dragon in this battle was its very powerful attack and I put Chaos Dragon in the last position because it has 4 armor.

• Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
• Scattershot Ability : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.
• Blast Ability : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

Frankly, as I expected, the opposing player had a very strong team. To be honest, I was unlikely to defeat such a team with Melee Attack and Ranged Attack Monsters. That's why it was wise for me to choose Magic Attack Monsters.

I recommend you to watch the battle from the video or the battle link. Indeed, both teams were very powerful and attacked mercilessly. Even though my team's back damage seemed like a disadvantage, my team was attacking much stronger. That's why I love Magic Attack Monsters that attack powerfully like the NERISSA TRIDAWN much more.

In the first round, both teams struggled primarily to destroy monsters with the Taunt Ability. I can say that bringing Agor Longtail back to life after it was destroyed gave my team a great advantage.

Round 2

At the start of the second round, monsters with the Taunt Ability on both teams were alive, but both had 1 health. After both were destroyed, both teams continued to attack powerfully, attacking so strongly that a total of 5 monsters were destroyed in the second round. Only 1 monster from my team was destroyed, while 4 monsters from the opposing team were destroyed. This clearly showed that my team was attacking much stronger.

Round 3

In the face of my team's powerful attacks, the opposing team was helpless. In the third round, my team managed to destroy another monster from the opposing team. And only Djinn Oshannus remained in the opposing team.

Round 4

Only Djinn Oshannus remained in the opposing team but it is really hard to destroy him. But in the face of my team's powerful attacks, he was also taking very serious damage.

Round 5

Although it was quite difficult, my team managed to destroy Djinn Oshannus in the 5th round. While 3 monsters were still alive in my team, the opposing team was destroyed and my team was able to win this very tough battle.

The battle lasted 5 rounds, according to the battle ruleset, my strategy worked really well, even though I took a big risk in teaming up in this battle. Honestly, if I had chosen Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters in this battle, I would have lost this battle, but my preference for Magic Attack Monsters worked very well. MY OPINION

As seen in the battle above, Nerissa Tridawn is a powerful Monster that can powerfully attack the target. Even though it doesn't have any abilities, it's a card that I would love to upgrade to level 6. Nerissa Tridawn can be very effective by causing the enemies to take serious damage in battles and I can say that she is much more effective when used with a good strategy. Honestly, I can't say much about her as she doesn't have any abilities, but I add her to my team without hesitation in many battles as she attacks the target powerfully. Also, since Nerissa Tridawn doesn't have armor, it can be advantageous in battles to equip her with armor with a summoner or a monster with the Protect Ability. In particular, armor works great against attacks from Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters. I didn't need armor since the above battle is a 99 mana battle, but I take care to equip my monsters with armor in battles under 40 mana. I think Nerissa Tridawn's one of those monsters that any team could need. I can also say that it is one of the cards I use the most, so I plan to buy the gold foil one.

• Protect Ability : All friendly Monsters gain +2 Armor.
