These days I have become interested in playing drums and I am in search of drums and while surfing the internet I came across Tabla Touch. Tabla Touch is a really interesting product and offers a completely new experience.

According to the information on the official website of Tabla Touch, the world's first electronic tabla, Tabla Touch, was developed by a team of highly skilled and talented designers, technicians and musicians. And it allows you to play authentic and heart-warming sounds of Indian drums with unmatched expression and accuracy. These are Dholak, Khol, Mridangam, Pakhawaj, Gautam, Hang, Tabla Tarang, Manjira, Temple bells, Jhanj and four different tabla sets and all played and sampled by Kuljit Bhamra himself on exemplary drums in high-quality audio. Some features of Tabla Touch, developed by British producer Kuljit Bhamra and the Keda Music team;

  • Compact and portable design
  • Recognises the basic traditional tabla playing techniques
  • Independent & stable tuning of each drum
  • Additional sound banks of Indian percussion included *(Pro and Studio models)
  • Can be played left or right-handed
  • Volume balance
  • Output to amp or mixer
  • Split stereo and mono output options
  • Headphone output with independent volume *(Pro & Studio)
  • MIDI (Out) USB compatible
  • Patented hit detection technology
  • Accurate touch sensitivity and tonal variance
  • Mountable on stand with a standard octapad plate *(optional)
  • Standard AC power supply included *(Studio model is USB-c)
  • Choose your favourite authentic tabla sound banks and tune the drums instantly with a turn of the dial– even during a performance. Left and right drums can be tuned individually and adjusted in volume to create your desired balance. The output signal to your headphones and amplifier can be set to mono or split stereo to give you ultimate control of your sound. Tabla Touch can be played by left and right-handed players and the Sensitivity Settings enable you to adjust the instrument to your playing strength.
  • Connect to a computer or sound module via MIDI and use Tabla Touch as a control surface – giving you a totally new way to trigger and control other sounds using your tabla technique. Create your own Indian drum compositions using our Indian Drum Notation. Connect Tabla Touch to Steinberg’s notation software Dorico and create and publish your own score. Share your compositions with other musicians worldwide.
Click for more and Tabla Touch's official website.

Tabla Touch is a really interesting product and thanks to its electronic structure it allows for instant tuning, which means you can transition between different keys fluidly. It also has a selection screen and advanced settings can be made using the knobs.

Each and every model is produced to the highest standards. They feature Keda’s patented hit detection technology and faithfully reproduce the sounds and playing styles of the acoustic tabla.

The Tabla Touch Pro costs £1,458, and the Studio and Solo versions cost £500.

It doesn't seem like an alternative to the traditional tabla, but it seems like a good option that offers a completely new experience. Frankly, I would like to have Tabla Touch, but the price is expensive for me. However, I think it is a good option for those who need such a product. If I have enough money, I may consider purchasing this product in the future. Frankly, I'm not an expert on this subject, I just want to learn how to play the tabla, so I'm very curious about your thoughts on Tabla Touch.

Music is powerful enough to change lives. Enjoy the music and stay with Love.

Question of the Day : Do you play any instruments? Please briefly explain why. If you don't have an answer to this question, You can talk about your favorite song or anything related to music in your comment.

Congratulations @imfarhad! Count me in for another round, please! Thank you so very much!

Tabla Touch sounds like fascinating and fun technology. I never focused enough time on any instrument to become good at it. When I was training capoeira, I was learning the traditional instruments, the berimbau, the atabaque, the pandeiro, and the caxi-xi, but only at beginner level. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

IGN @olaf.gui

I don't play any instruments. I did have a few piano lessons as a kid and I played the flute in music classes at school but I'm just not cut out for any of that!
