I'm Tired of Souls

Greetings to all Gamers, as you can read in the title this is a half-truth, but I want to explain it to know if any of you feel the same, with the arrival of Dark Souls to my life I filled a void that other games did not achieve, a difficulty that did not feel unfair, in a game nothing monotonous.

What I mean is that before playing Dark Souls as in the years 2016 I was fed up with the RPG and JRPG that until then were my favorite game genres, do not be confused I like many other genres, but those that most capture my attention we these, I remember I was looking for a game where I could give swords left and right, so the hack and slash genre was the perfect refuge, I tried with the 4 installment of Devil May Cry a lot of speed an acceptable difficulty where speed is rewarded.

Then I went through the Dark Siders games with the second installment where you handle death the 2nd horseman of the apocalypse, it was a game that includes riddles fights and RPG, Then I went on to Metal Gear Rasing Revenged, that game had it all, I enjoyed it a lot, it had one of the most complicated bosses of all I have tried in my life the vice president "Steven Armstrong" in fact I mentioned it in my post of hardest bosses to defeat https://hive. blog/hive-140217/@rubenp/top-5-bosses-i-had-the-hardest-time-defeating-in-video-games until Dark Souls II came along, a much more leisurely game with an energy bar that depletes as you hit, with well-defined game rules, your character is not an indestructible being in fact he is fragile and a simple fall can kill him.

This game offered a greater challenge with each confrontation and a satisfaction of overcoming with each new boss defeated, but that the message of VICTORY when you finally win, the game expects you to be defeated in fact that's what the plot is about, that the undead can lose their souls when they die, and that without them their memory is erased by the curse, that is to say the game expects you to lose and that once you learn its mechanics you defeat, it's not like they give you enough tools to pass the game fast, in fact the more you have played the title the better your skills will be with it.

Then I wanted to know how Dark Souls was and I was surprised to realize that it was just as good as the sequel, with a much more connected world and thought to the millimeter, so I decided once I finished the game, try other classes and pass the game at least 3 more times.

Then I had the opportunity to play Dark Souls 3, I was surprised to realize that it was a faster game, not only the speed of your character had increased but also the speed of the enemies, the attacks were less telegraphed and much more chained to a series of blows that caused instant death.

When I was finally able to pass Dark Soul 3 with its DLC I was exhausted that they killed me again and again, that is to say to return to the same scenario to face the same boss and farm in the same area to be able to defeat the next enemy, ended up exhausting me at the end of the third installment.

I also played Hades a game derived from the mechanics of Dark Souls, I tried with hollow knight

but I still don't finish it, I still don't play Sekiro, nor NIOH, now Elder Ring came out and I already have it downloaded, but I don't start it because the truth is I'm tired of Souls, I need time to regain the courage to play something where the game enjoys making you suffer hahaha.

I was exhausted that they killed me again and again.

I hate such moment's as well. And I try to ignore such games that's too hard/challenging because I don't have the patience.

Greetings, I do not hate them, but if I'm tired, I need time to resume a game like this, as it is exhausting, I imagine a long day of work at night I take the pc controller and I start playing Dark Soul or any other, sure I left before the fight of some boss that I could not pass, I face the one that I still can not with him killing me about 20 times more, it ceases to be pleasant at that time.
