Celebrating The Little Achievements

Starting out on hive as a newbie on hive has a lot of mixed emotions. You are scared to make mistakes. You see people having a lot of stake and you sometimes want to be like them. You wish you could power up all your way to an orca or even a whale.

If I could do that I will have done that by now. Even with the little hive power I have, it feels good to curate and see the curation rewards at the end of the day; it’s soo satisfying.

Apart from my Leo curation rewards, one other thing at enjoying soo much is the Hp curation rewards. With a little over 500 hp, you feel like you are part of a cause. I’ve wanted to reach 500 even since I reached 100 hp. Well, 500 is not what I wanna reach obviously, but I do think it’s worth making a point that I struggled to reach it thus I need to celebrate it. Now a lot of people will dedicate a whole post to celebrate reaching 500 hp; well I think am an exception then.

One other reason why I decided to write this post is that am half way there. When I wrote my new year hive goals, I made mention that I want I my hp to reach at least 1000 by the end of 2023. We are in December and I already half way through. So if I do maintain the regular end of month power ups then I will surely get there.

Am of the view that the moment you get to the 500 hp mark, you are able to move maybe not as slowly as you did when starting out. 500 hp is no big deal at this stage cause you are targeting more and more hp to support others.

I want to be able to support the post of others with my hp. It’s kind of a win win situation for both parties. I vote and earn curation and the receiver in turn earns. Not that a lot of people care about giving out votes but I think if we all decided to just take and take no one will have his or her hp to vote on your post.

So as we are receiving and taking let’s think about giving back. The only way we can give back is to grow out hp and support others.
