Facing A Smaller Team.

After watching the Manchester United Vs Burnley game the last time I was left wondering. I had so many questions to ask Vincent Kompany if i was given a chance to but then I had praise for him too. Before their game at old Trafford I read a lot of bet predictions to see and realise how good his Burnley side were.

I saw a lot of good stuff reading online and one thing that surprised me was that some of this sites actually tipped Burnley to go in and win the game. If you watched the match you will realise why they tipped them to win the match. Playing against a championship side is always one of the toughest thing for me. For me, even though they are in the championship, they are still premier league quality. Any team in the top 3 of the table in the championship standings is can play and be in the top 10 of the premier league standings.

Playing against a premier league side has a feeling to it and am sure it was that feeling that made the Burnley players to forget about their shooting boots. I mean, man they had a dozen chances and they couldn’t even score. It came to a time Dubraka started gifting them chances with his shitty ball play but they still couldn’t equalise.

There was a chance that they should have easily capitalised on but they still messed it up. Casemiro was carrying the ball and cheaply passed it to the feet of a Burnley forward. Instead of looking for another player to pass to he wanted to take the glory and ended up not even getting a shot on target.

Am not a man of ifs but if Burnley were brave at the old Trafford they could have easily kicked United out of the carabao cup. This leads me to worry even more about they match against Charlton. As a football fan, we all know it’s always better to face a team that want the ball and will come out to actually play ball.

Playing against a team that do not want the ball or will leave all the ball to you and only look to capitalise on your mistakes, a team that will wait for you to come at them with the ball and then counter attack you.

A smaller team is always dangerous to play against and boy I don’t like facing them. They make life so miserable for the players and if they are not tactically brilliant or don’t know how to break the lines you find them shooting from outside the box just to try and catch the keeper out or hope that there is some sort of deflection.

Do you like facing a big team like City, Chelsea, Liverpool or you prefer facing a lower club because you feel like the odds are in your favour. Tell me in the comments section.

Fuck the odds. I’m kinda in the middle teams that have nothing to lose are always very dangerous (teams that are in the relegation zone). So sometimes I don’t like seeing my team play against them.

So I prefer playing teams that have something to fight for. I don’t know if you get me.😀
