Marriage Works Cause Two People Make It Work

Hi guys,

The week is slowly coming to an end, I hope we all have had a fruitful week so far. We are in a new month as well, all we wish for is the goodness of this new month so we can attain and work towards our goals.

As a tradition, hive Ghana has presented us with some cool topics to choose from. I came across it and I’ve decided to make a post about one of these topics because it’s a really important topic in my part of the world.

Marriage; is a very important topic in Africa. We are made to understand that the moment you become of age and are capable you should find a spouse and settle down with.

Money and love, which one is more important in my opinion when it comes to marriage? Hmmm, first of all, money is very important to me. We are all struggling in this world to make ends meet. At the end of the day, what makes us comfortable? It’s money. What do we use to get married? It’s money as well.

Then again, we as humans are designed to feel love. We fall Inlove and people fall in love with us as well. As a human, it’s hardly that we come across someone who doesn’t want to be desired by someone deeply. This is where the concept of love comes into play. As we fall in love we wish to get married. At times it even feels like our sole purpose is to just make money and settle down in this life.

Now when it comes to marriage a lot of things make it work. There are a lot of factors which can make or break a marriage depending on which two people are together. We always say that love is sweet but when money enters love is sweeter; this is something I’ve come to not like very much. Are we saying when our forefathers didn’t have money they didn’t know love? Or are we saying that times are changing and what we need now is solely money?

In my opinion, all we need for marriage to work is love. I wouldn’t describe my type of love as a feeling. Even, though I don’t believe in love at first sight so I don’t describe my love as how others describe theirs.

I think in my opinion love is a decision and not just a feeling. We decide on who we love and how we want to love. At the end of the day, it’s this love that makes a marriage work. Your spouse can have all the money in the world and then that relationship marriage will still not work.

If money makes a marriage work then why has Elon Musk been through countless divorces? Wouldn’t his marriage life be the best among the rest since he has a lot of money?

So yh in my opinion we need love for marriage to work cause at the end of the day all we got is each other.
