Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog. This is an entry to the spl battle mage secretes contest. In this post I’ll look to dissect one of my games on the Ruleset which was given this week.

The Ruleset this time round is fab 4. This means that only 4 units can be used to play the game. No matter the game mana you are only allowed to use up to 4 monsters for that particular game. Now being in the diamond league means I get to use up to 3 game rulesets for one game. The other 2 rule sets were keep your distance; meaning I couldn’t use melee cards in this game and then equaliser; which means the initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base health.

So since I was restricted from playing melee cards my best bet was either to use magic plus range cards or use just magic cards. This time round I had to option of using earth cards so I went in for just magic cards.

The game mana was 30 so I went on for lost llama mage summoner. A summoner which grants me the last stand ability. With this summoner you know I’ll definitely be going in for the kron monster.

Well my first position card was magic of chaos, then djinn biljika. Next was venari markrat to give me the martyr effect and then kron as my last card.

Let’s rumble.

Looking at my opponents cards made me rethink my decision of sending in the last stand card when I knew I was going in for solely magic cards.

My opponent went in for all magic and even brought obsidian summoner to add +1 magic to his cards.

On average his cards had 3 magic attack. So it was gonna be a long game for me.

The first round proved it and I was totally wrong with my strategy. With a few attacks magi of chaos was almost dead. Well let’s say practically dead cause his regal peryton made sure of it in round 2.

As the game went on it looked like each round was a round for one of my cards to be killed. This was be because in each round I had one of my cards being killed. The worst part of all this is that my opponent had a healer which made sure his first position card stayed alive.

Well it didn’t go how I thought it would. My kron had the opportunity of living its last stand days in the last round but it wasn’t enough to get the wind as I couldn’t even get past his first card.
