Hi guys,

Welcome to mu blog. This is an entry to the weekly splinterlands social media challenge. This week I’ll be sharing with you guys one of my battles for this social media challenge.

In this battle I thought it was a straight win for me. First of all I like to get battles with a lot of mana. In this battle the mana was 99 and Mehn I was excited. With a 99 mana and a chance to field in earth cards it was a dream line up for me. One thing I least expected was that I was going to be complacent. One thing about this is that; yes, I do have really good magic cards but am also playing in gold which means a higher rating and in turn I’d be facing super good cards.

The Rulesets for this game was

• Armored up: All monsters have 2 armor in addition to their Normal armor stat.
• Keep your distance: Monsters with melee may not be used in battles.
• What doesn’t kill you: All monsters have the enrage ability.

For me I think the one Ruleset that caused my loss is the removal of melee cards from battle. With the removal of melee cards I didn’t have a reason to field on a healer to restore health to my melee so I was all in on attack.

My opponent on the other hand opted in for a healer card and then a no attack card as his first position card. So even though his first card didn’t attack it still made me waste some rounds of attack on it since it was just there healing and taking hits until it died.

The second unfortunate thing about this battle was that my opponent had the level 4 of mycelic slipspawn which meant it had the force field. With a force field the card only takes one damage from attacks with 5 power or higher.

Well round one was encouraging since I was able to kill his mycelic slipspawn. With this I thought I was making progress but I was wrong.

It was in the same place that he also killed my mycelic slipspawn leaving my first magic card to face the wrath of his other cards.

Round 2 was a straight forward show as I was able to kill his no attack card but then my first attack card was in danger of dying.

With a few hits it was killed in round 2.

After this it was an easy battle for my opponent since the other 3 cards left was a range card and then 2 magic cards with no healing ability. Unfortunately on my side my opponent still had a healer card in the line up who did a perfect job at boosting his health status.

It wasn’t meant to be. I lost rather painfully only regretting not putting in a healer unit into this line up.
