Things Are Not Looking Good For Chelsea.

Things look to be going from bad to worse for Chelsea. I cant remember the last time they won a match in the Premier. I think like me a lot of us can only remember their recent champions league victory against Zagreb, apart from that they have been shit in the league. Sometime ago, I said when Chelsea come up against teams that hold the ball well they struggle. We saw it against Brentford, United, City, Arsenal and we saw it again today against Newcastle.

They seem to be struggling all over the pitch. The midfield doesn't seem to be working and they might be the happiest team to see Club football going on a break. This gives Potter some time to think and then implement his ideas. Am one of the people who have seen the way Brighton have performed under Potter and I believe he will be able to put his ideas through to the team. The only problem is that, by that time it might be too late and they might end up missing the top 4.

Each game Chelsea play in now looks like a set up to push them further and further away from the top 4. Arsenal are far gone from them as well as City. Spurs are doing well, Newcastle is above them and United could end up opening the gap if they win their game against Fulham tommorow.

Right from the word go it didn't look like Chelsea was going to get anything from this game. It was all Newcastle and from what I saw Chelsea had just one dangerous chance in the first half. Apart from that Newcastle dominated them all over the park. They did a great job by preventing Newcastle from being one on one with the keeper though.

Mendy was not worked by the Newcastle forwards in the first half. The defenders did good and had it covered for their keeper. The second half started in the same fashion. You could see the intent from Newcastle to win this and boy did they show it In front of their home support.

Eventually they got their goal through a beautiful strike from Willock. Almiron was carrying the ball to the 18 yard box but he seemed to have over hit it. Willock had eyes on it and he left Mendy no chance. After the goal Chelsea turned a gear up to take more risk but it was already over from that point. They kept the ball better but they didn't look like scoring.

Newcastle have been very good against the big sides this season. I think they have only lost to Liverpool after drawing against City, United, beating Chelsea and spurs. With all the money they have now they could get better and better next season if they do qualify for the champions league. They have not yet invested heavily in the team but boy look at what the old lads are doing. They are currently 3rd above spurs, Chelsea, United and Liverpool, the supposed big "6". They are on fire and I hope they can keep it burning when we return from the world Cup break.

Chelsea will struggle to finish in the top 4 and should start slipping lower down the table.

Things are not looking good for them. If things should get better they have to be better after the world cup break.
