True Story Of How I betrayed The Boys.

If you have been following my blog you will know that for quite sometime I've been writing about my running skills. Don't worry; am not going to bore you with another of my running diaries. The story am about to give is a funny story but it is also a story of betrayal. It's not something big but just a minor betrayal that I had to do to take myself out of trouble.

It happened that I didn't school in the region I was born and started schooling. My father at a very young age was transferred to another region for job purposes. At that time I was a little over 9 years. I had completed class 2 going to class 3. We had to move cause my dad was gonna be a permanent worker in another city. I had to also change schools. My mom is a teacher so she was a teacher in the same school that I was attending.

Fast forward to JHS 3 I was made a prefect. I was made the compound overseer. I was somehow cruel when it came to my Job but after the busy morning hours I was always cool. I have always been a jovial person so it was not surprising to have a lot of juniors are my friends. As a compound prefect I was the guy who had the keys to the classrooms, another reason was that I stayed close to the school.

It happened that one day on a weekend the juniors decided to play football on the school field. It was not against school policy to play or use the field during the weekend but it was against school policy to use the water or some other properties. Because of this we always made sure to lock the tap after school hours because the school was paying for the water bill.

When the juniors came to play I was involved. Along with a few seniors we played together and I ended up opening one of the classrooms so that we could rest. Whiles we were resting some of them tried to break through the lock and drink water cause they were tasty. As they tried they ended up breaking the lock. I didn't think it was a big deal as there was no one around to spot us. They took a drink and I drunk from the broken tap too.

I didn't know the headmaster was around taking note of all those who were around at that time. He left before the tap was broken but then he could still remember a few of the people who were around. They summoned us to the disciplinary committee which my mom was part of. I had to find a way to escape or further deal with trouble at home. Plus I was a prefect and if I was found wanting I will have to face demotion. So to protect myself I pushed all the blame on the juniors. The story I told was so believable to the teachers.

I think one other thing that helped my story was that it was in line with most of the things that the others said, I only had to make a few changes to it. I was fortunate that we were questioned one by one. The teaches believed my story and believed I was not involved.

I had to betray the boys even though I didn't want to😂. The boys were not punished but if I was found guilty I would have been demoted so I had to find a way. I think they were asked to pay for damages and weed a portion of grass. They didn't know that I snitched on them but I think it was worth it.
