Day Off From My Side Hustle: Taking a Rest and a Discovery of Mushrooms in an Old Coconut Fruit.

I noticed this after taking medicine for my nasal polyp. I'm taking two kinds of medicine right now and one spray for my nose. I'm not so sure what's wrong, why it started, and what triggers it. Is it really just the cause of overusing my eyes, or is it just a side effect of the spray I've been using, or maybe I am just getting old? Is 29 that old? Either way, my eyesight is not as good as before. I get dizzy after just a few minutes of reading. I feel like my head gets heavier too.

Whatever the case, what I've been feeling in the past few days is no joke anymore. Because of that, I have to increase the brightness on my phone from 9% to 29%. My vision is so blurry that it is giving me a headache, especially when I read articles, and it's uncomfortable. I'm not used to this blurry vision. I want to get better soonest and go back to what I used to do.

And for this reason, I decided to stop taking the spray for my nasal polyp yesterday and also to take that time to give my eyes a rest. That means no browsing here and there on the internet, including on Hive, and just focusing on doing something, like house chores. As someone who's used to holding my phone literally all day, I feel so incomplete, I feel like I lose one of my arms. It's not an exaggeration, man.

But I have to do it if I don't want it to worsen. I am already having a hard time thinking about the solution for my nasal polyp, I don't want to add another. I feel like I died yesterday because of the unbearable pain I experienced. In fact, I experienced that again this morning, but I took medicine to feel better. Though it took time to take effect, but I feel good now.

I still have to give more rest to my eyes, so for that reason, you won't be seeing me here as often as before. It's sad that I won't be everywhere, but I'll take my time to feel so much better than today. And so, guys, a little reminder, don't push yourself too hard and give your body and mind a rest, especially your eyes. It'll be harder to work if your eyes start to go bad. (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

So, as I took a day off yesterday from my smartphone, I started my day sleeping too. I take a little nap after taking medicine for my headache. But after that, I'm good as new again. Though there's still pain on the bridge of my nose at the top, it is already bearable, so I get up on my bed and have a little walk in the garage and our small garden

I was looking around the garage when I noticed these coconut plants messy line-up on the corner. They always change positions because of these cats who play around in this part of the garage. I remember arranging them, but every time I check, they are in their messy state again. Well, there's no harm to the plants, so there's no need to give the babies a lesson. And even if I give them a lesson, they will still do it anyway, lol.

From one corner to another, I also see these new plants of my mommy D. It's cute how tiny they are. It is a sweet potato leaf, she planted a few of them in here, and they are already starting to sprout. And by the way, she used an old basin here where we used to wash our clothes. Amazing how these broken things can still be used for different purposes. So, I want to water them, but I am afraid that they will die, so I just watch it like this. Everything I touch dies. I think my hand has a curse or something. Is it just me? Soon, we can also harvest this and mix it in any "sinigang" dish.

And, oh, guys, I discovered something in our little garden thanks to this short walk, just beside the Atis tree where an old coconut fruits was scattered. I didn't know that it was possible, but it's amazing. Let me just show it. I am really not knowledgeable when it comes to mushrooms, so sorry if I act like a little girl who doesn't know anything about them. Lol. But you'll love this too.

So here it is. I found this attached to an old coconut, not the tree but the fruits. There are a bunch of them in our backyard, they came from our old tree that was cut down months ago. What I noticed too was that the fruit was wet, so it rained last night, and I think that's the reason why they sprouted here like this. It's amazing how nature works and how these things suddenly sprout.

And there's also that tiny version, which is so cute and pretty. I am not sure about its name or if it is edible, but here in our place, we just don't dig, cook, or eat the mushroom. We just let them grow like that, and most of the time they are ignored as we are not that familiar with edible mushrooms out there. To be honest, I only know those mushrooms in cans and in those pizzas.

So here's another, I just noticed that they easily die. They don't last that long, and as white as this, they easily wither, just like flowers. Is there a reason behind that?

I rarely spot a mushroom before here at home, and to be honest, it is only today that I saw this massive mushroom here in our place. Maybe I just failed to notice them, but this rest I gave to myself is seriously a blessing for me. As I spent most of my time holding my phone, I failed to notice other things in my surroundings. Though I had my walk from time to time, it was not as thorough as this.

I'll surely do this again tomorrow because, as I've mentioned, I still need to give my eyes more rest. I'll spend a little time online and spend more time doing other things.

And here's the last photo I took yesterday. I am watching my Mama who's also watching someone on the small river beside her house washing a tire. I just find this sight pretty.

I also don't know much about mushrooms but that looks like an oyster mushroom, I know because one of my classmates worked on it for her final year project and it looks a lot like this one in your post. It really looks beautiful

It's actually not edible, so it's best you avoid eating it even though it looks like a flower 😁

Fungi are decomposers, so that's why they were growing from the old coconuts. Well, I am not an expert, so I better say: I think fungi are decomposers, so that's why they were growing from the old coconuts... 😁

It is rare to find these mushrooms at coconut fruits sis. You must be the luckiest for finding it. Heheh. You know I so love the edible mushrooms and I love to flavor it in soups. Here in our province, it tastes like a chicken. Have a nice time sis and keep safe.

such interesting photos, but i have to say sorry to hear of the problems you are having with your nose and eyes, taking a break from being online to rest your eyes till you can feel improvements or get some treatment sounds like a good idea to me

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
