Finally, a Homecooked Pork Recipe: Pork Dish with a Lil Kick of Spiciness from Siling Taiwan and Bits of Potatoes

When was the last time I had Pork dish that I cooked myself? Shocks (ノ゚0゚)ノ~ I can't even remember anymore! Yes, it's been that long! You see, for practicality purposes, I prefer to buy cooked Pork dish in a carinderia. I like it of course, I've shared about that here a lot of times and of how much we can save from just buying outside, money and time y'all. It's a big thing!

Time for a homecooked mea!_20260713_163112_0000.png

The price? Very much affordable! The serving? Baaaam! Its already good for two people -but I can eat it for 4 meals ╮(^▽^)╭, heh, that's how crazy I am in savings, lol. The quality? Not much but its still good, love that it is much tender you know. The gas spent? Hmmm, maybe just a tiny bit? I always sautee it whenever I bought dish outside. But that's it. It doesn't even took 5 minutes to do that.

And so yeah, that's a lot of reason not to cook anything at home no? I am practical and b.r.o.k.e! Lol. But it change everything when raw Pork meat is cheap in the market and when I know I can make more compare to that 100 peso servings Pork dish in a carinderia. (⌐■-■)

And I just happened to know that Pork now is 340 pesos per kilo only -compare to 370 month ago ♪ \(^ω^\ ), big difference no? And with the budge of 100 pesos, I decided to get 80 pesos worth of Pork ( /^ω^)/♪♪. 80 pesos only because...

Of this! PO TA TO \(◎o◎)/. This two is 23 pesos only -well, I overspent, huh, 3 pesos? That's okay ಥ‿ಥ

I cut the Porky into tint bits because i'm planning to cook them for a short time -my motto is "SAVE GAS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!" And with tiny cuts if this hard pork meat, cooking it will be easy. I also marinated it for like 20 minutes

..with salt, msg, pepper, soy sauce, vinegar -and yes, I put Calamansi too, COZ WHY THE HELLY NOT! Hehe. I don't have garlic so I put lots of Onions instead.

Now, this is not in the Plan really, all I want is a saucy Pork Adobo -but then, this pack of banana ketchup is only 5 pesos -very cheap, very very cheap. So my mind goes like "DO IT!" So yeah, I did. Heh

And i'm kind of craving for a spicy dish so I decided to be braver this time and get one piece of Siling Taiwan (chili) and yes, as you can there, I CUT THEM INTO TINY PIECES. "Omg, is this okay?" My head after putting it, its mind vs. my mouth. Hah! It too late to back down though ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ᕤ

As for the potato, I just cut them like this. I just do like, whatever -like that

Cooking time! I didn't sautee this by the way. I just put all of em in the pan and using high heat, I let it boil there until its water reduces

I only cook the meat for 10 minutes before adding the potatoes. Ahh, this is also when I taste test it to check if it is well seasoned. I added the salt when I think it needs more of it

4 minutes later, and the potatoes are done, its soft and has a nice texture in it..i guess I choose the right potato this time ehe

And there we have it, a delicious Pork dish to pair a newly cooked, hot, steamed white rice. Nyommm. While having lunch i'm also watching the season 4, part 2 of Dr. Stone ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

And seriously, cooking my favorite meat for a dish is always exciting and fun. I just wish I can always buy Pork meat haha. But anyways, this dish really made me feel good and happy as I get to cook again. UwU
