I had free time this Sunday, so I decided to help feed the chicken and play with the dogs after. It's a lovely weekend!

This is a fun Sunday for me, I spent it with them, and there's just no dull moment. That's just how lovely they can be ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ. It's a happy weekend, well spent with them.

A cat, dog, or even a chicken is really the best playmate that someone can have. They are just so good at making us feel good and occupied too, you know, with their sweetness and even naughtiness. Having them in our lives will surely bring us a lot of joy. Although they are a bunch of dorks with their silliness and craziness, haha, that's a compliment for them, okay. They are lovely ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.

Right after Christmas, on December 26, Mama really pushed through with her long vacation in her hometown. She even said while trying to stop her as a joke that no one can stop her from going to her hometown, even if with a canyon. That's just how she really missed everything in her hometown. I can see how excited and happy she is too that she finally have the fund to go back to her hometown. And she's so insistent on going to visit because there's finally a solution for her problem.

But it's not like she sees them as a problem, of course no, it's just that no one will look after her pets, like the dogs, the cats, the chicks, and the chickens. And it's not like I can take care of them all, considering that I am the one who mostly does everything at home (Mommy F's house). We also have a bunch of cats that I take care of. But that problem was solved after our old couple's neighbor volunteered to take care of them for her. They are heaven sent for her ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.

And of course, she didn't say "no" to that tempting offer, she grabbed the opportunity, and now they are taking care of Mama's pets. Here's Serino old man, taking care of their food. It's meal time, and they are looking forward to it. I'm really thankful to this old man because of this. That's why every chance I get, I never forget to say "thank you" to him. At least he'll know how much we appreciate him and her wife. Imagine he does the cooking, feeds them too, and also takes care of those little chicks. I asked Mama to bring home some pasalubong for them to show how grateful we are to them.

But anyway, when it comes to shopping for their food in the market, I'm the one who does that. It'll be shameful of us if we let them do this too, that will be too much. And I do that whenever I have to buy food for us, so it's not a lot of hard work. I am the one holding the money, which I also budget for their food. It's hard to budget it seriously because not all of them happily eat the food given to them. There's this one old dog that is picky when it comes to food.

Because of that, I have to buy foods that she will like, like dog food or bread, which is one of her favorites. The $10 budget for their food was almost gone now. But before Mama left, she made sure that they had enough rice at home aside from the cash, which was 15 kilos, then 1 kilos of fish, and I think 4 kilos of feed and corn for the chicken. It's a lot, but Mama has a lot of pets too, so it's not surprising that it's almost gone now, the rice, I mean, and chicken food.

Anyway, it's Sunday, so I thought I should take care of Mama's chicken. I already did my laundry last Saturday, so I have free time to do this. I saw Mama picking this particular fruit in our garden to feed to the chickens, they are small, just like cherries. They call it "Opli," but upon looking it up on Google, I found its name, Ficus Odorata.

Look how excited our handsome Jose. is!I'm still picking the fruit from the tree, but Jose here is already excited. He is looking forward to it, especially since it's been a week since he last had this fruit. There's actually more fruit in the tree, but I couldn't pick a lot because it's too high. Tiyang Nida actually helped me pick these up. Haha, I already had help but only got this much.

And the other chicken actually picked some of this fruit here. But Jose can't because we put a leash on his feet. He always looks for a fight, even with the young ones, so Mama decides to do this. But when Mama's at home, she also removes this leash to let Jose walk around. But I can't do that to him for now, not when Mama is not around.

Anyway, after feeding them, I then moved on to play with the doggos. I'm sure they already miss their husband. I can't play with them all the time, though, just giving snacks as a treat is all I can do, they are okay with just that. But I know they really miss Mom. And aside from giving snacks, I also talk to them. Isay here (brown doggo) loves to talk back, always, haha, which I find cute. It's like she has her own mind that she can answer.

Whike Burnok, his love language is through action, he loves to kiss us everywhere in our faces. He will lick it nonstop, as if he wants to let us feel how much he loves us. I also love him that way, between him and Isay, he is much sweeter. Well, you can all see it, right? That's how he always is to my mama. But she's not here, so it is me for now, haha.

One more week before Mom go back here. So I have to be the entertainer of these dog, cat and chicken for them not to get lonely. Once Mama go back home, they will surely jump in joy.

Lovely creatures. I see your feeding the chicken with you hand, over here in Nigeria we are not use to seeing chicken come that close to humans😀. They stay very far our from people, and they are hyper smart

Ehhhh, our chicken are all close to us. We really treat them as a pet or a part or family. We even give them names and you know, it's fun to watch them run when we calk their names. It's too cute (≧▽≦). How about petting them more like a dog? That's what we do to get closer to them, we also talk to them sometimes ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Wow

Over here in Nigeria nobody keeps Chicken as pet. We only keep them for their meat. But as for dogs and cat, they are closer to people, at least people still keep them ad pets

As funny as it might sound, I am hearing this for the first time. I never knew before now that Chicken are used as pet anywhere in this planet😀. I probably give it a try myself someday

Wow, I had a rooster just like yours José. I currently have one called Bill. When dogs play, it's difficult to know who is who.

Whether we like it or not, we end up becoming attached to all the animals we raise.

I have a question from an inexperienced person: how do you post one photo next to another? I hadn't seen it yet in HIVE.

Ohh, happy to know that yours has name too ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ. Are you close with it? Dog is just, haha, cute.

Seriously, that's very true, animals can feel too how much we like them.

Oh, here's the code for that

I have to screenshot it coz it won't show. You can type it and put it in your notes or something so that you can just copy/past them.

Animals are excellent, everyone should have at least one pet. I have a dog called Ralph, it's a shame he's sick, he's very old.

Regarding the image, thank you very much, I will test it in the next posts. I owe you a debt of gratitude. A big virtual hug.

He is 13 years old, has malassezia, otitis due to malassezia, is almost blind and has an eye disease. His treatment costs a little over $200 dollars a month. I can't maintain this. I do the treatment every 3 or 4 months to alleviate your problem a little.

I'm just glad that you are bot giving up on him unlike other. The cost is really huge but the pet for sure is really happy coz you are not giving up on him.

Cute dogs you have there. Dogs are friendly but I really don't know why I still don't want to have any pets. I have loved birds instead for pets.

Ohhh, but don't you have a family who has pet like them? Maybe you can try to get closer to them and see if you'll like them to the point that you want to have one? But, of course not all people can like them, it's not a bad thint though. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
