It Is Not the Best Night, But We Still Enjoy It, Thanks to Takoyaki.

Yahoooo! Today is a happy day here in our town. We are celebrating the Basudani Festival right now. A lot of activities were prepared just for this day, so I am actually excited for that. Basudani Festival, by the way, is celebrated every year to honor the town's patron saint, Sto. Niño. It is like giving thanks and praising the continuous blessings that we are receiving.

But before the main event, more activities were held in the last few days, like a singing competition, a cosplay competition, a drum and glockenspiel competition, street dancing, and the search for Miss Teen Bansud 2023. There was really a lot to look forward to when Fiesta in Bansud was about to happen. Then later at night we will have the grand variety show and fireworks display for the main events.

But I won't share that today. I want to share what happened last night when me and my mother decided to go to the town plaza for the Miss Teen Bansud. The set time was 6 p.m., but then it changed because we backed out in the last minute when the rain started to pour. We don't really have to plan to go anymore, but then the rain stopped after 40 minutes. So we push forward with the plan.

Because of the nonstop rain in the afternoon and later that night, fewer people will be seen in Plaza de Bansud. so different from what we saw the last time we went there. But it is understandable. And we are really early in the venue, so maybe people are still at home, preparing. And as usual, there are a lot of food stalls that you can see here.

There's a "Peryahan" too, or Carnival, and people are flocking there, betting and throwing their money. I want to go there and check out what else there is to see, but then, food stalls catch my attention more, so I set aside the thought and just continue to walk to our destination. By the way, the "Peryahan" that I am talking about is located at the back of these food stalls.

And tadaaaaaa! This small stage in front is where Miss Teen Bansud was held. But when we arrive there, it has not started yet. But there are already a lot of people waiting, as you can see in the picture. All of them have their umbrellas open, lol. When we arrive there, the rain has started to drizzle again, but it is just a small drop. and still tolerable for us. But then, that small drop didn't last.

While looking for food that we could munch on while watching, the rain started to pour again, this time with a big drop on it. The good news is that we have an umbrella with us. But still, with the strong wind, an umbrella is nothing with that. We are waiting for our takoyaki to be cooked when the rain becomes stronger. Because of that, I suddenly feel like going home again, even if it's only been 30 minutes since we got there. I mean, who will feel happy with this kind of weather while having your night walk.

As much as I still want to stay, but the weather won't let us. So, we decided that once we finish our food, we will go home. And by the way, we enjoyed the takoyaki, even though I was so annoyed by the rain. It's been a year since I last had this. And that time, I didn't even enjoy it that much compared to last night when we had it. The flavor that we got is the Assorted Takoyaki for 60 PHP, or $1.10. It's not bad. I'll try it again if I have a chance.

So yeah, we went to Plaza de Bansud last night, but I feel like we just went there to buy a takoyaki and then got home after a few minutes of staying there. I didn't enjoy it that much, so I'll try to enjoy the grand variety show tonight. I hope the weather will grant us this day. I am hoping for a good weather!

Ito pala ung nakita kong post mo the other day na video, may Fiesta pala ihhh. Naks!

Is it because of the hormones,? hahah lol.

Though you enjoyed all the things from the bottom of your heart with your best companion, your mother still I can bet if the rain was not there you could enjoy a little more.

The times you spend there is really magical.
