[LOH101] She's a Security Guard, a Part Time Tailor and a Baker

Filipino is known for their resiliency. No matter what problems they face, they will still smile and and will hope again. Problem is not enough for them to give up. As long as they live, they will fight and will go back up and dream again for the better days.

Hello beautiful Hivers! I hope everything is good at your end. I also hope that it is full of Productivity. Let's go get this!!

Ladies of Hive has a very lovely topic for this week. And we have two, as usual. Thank You so much @ladiesofhive for initiating this and also @tibaire for the set of topic. Out of the two topic I will go with number 2.

Let's talk about a resilient woman, it can be your friend, family member, co-worker, etc. What is her life challenge and what did she do to overcome the trial she faced?

Mommy Flor (My Auntie) always tell this story to me. I think I heard it for million times already, lol. Kidding aside, it is about how she started as a security guard in a big store in Manila. She's young then but she's strong to even go there on her own. She's really a strong and independent woman and I admire her for that. I find her cool doing all of it. I can't even do that now co I don't have confidence.

IMG20220930105220.jpg

I forgot the year but while she's working as a Security Guard, she also do a part time job which is as a Tailor. She even commissioned the company where she work as a Security Guard and she become their Tailor who sewed their uniform. How many sleepless night she had to experience just to finish those uniform. But that didn't stop her, because she has that dream.

It's just amazing how she can do all of that despite having a small body. Aside from she has a lot of courage, she just know how to dream and that is her bullet to grow more. She has the great vision of what she want in her life. But she didn't do it all alone because she has a partner so they are both helping each other to make that dream come true. A dream that will surely happen later.

She's still in manila while her Partner (Mommy Merly) travel to Mindoro (My Hometown). While she's saving more doing different Jobs, Mommy Merly on the other hand is already taking some action to start their plan. And that is to open a Bakery. The money that was used to buy those machines that she needed was borrowed from different people. And once the things needed is complete, they started operating it.

IMG20220930104626.jpg

She look younger here but that face already face a lot of problems in life, hardship? She's still a kid when she started experiencing that but that makes her even stronger. For her dreams. Because she doesn't want to experience more hardship when she get old so she will save while she still can. She also learn how to bake herself and she also learn how to make them.

With her brother which is my father and my Mother. They build it from scratch and that paid off. They also face a lot of problems along the way but she face and resolve it because that is the only way. Nothing will happen if she leave it like that. She will not grow. And those experiences and what honed her to be a skilled woman. She can even use that Dough Roller Machine on her own.

IMG20220930104642.jpg

She just work hard to learn it. Because they are just starting, doing it on their own is a must. No helper no nothing. But well, it is just the start so that's normal. They can't afford to get a helper yet so they do it on their own. And with that they learn more from it. Mommy has a book too of those bread that she makes, ingredients, measurement. She's the one hodling it so I can't take a picture.

She rely on it at first but after mastering it all she didn't need it anymore. She can make a bread from scratch using her own memory. She already memorize all if it. It is just amazing. While she's making the bread, Papa is the one baking them. Off course Papa too help on making the bread. While Mama is also helping them packing the bread. There is no much helper but they all made it.

IMG20220930104721.jpg

In her stay in the Province, she met a lot of friends. Even our neighbor become close friends too. And the bakery produce more bread than before. She also deliver bread which she doesn't do before. She's the one who do that coz she's really friendly so she can have more places to deliver the goods. She also has a helper now. By the way that woman with a short hair is my Mama.

She's carrying my brother. I don't exist yet that time I think. Mama is still young here. While on the other side is her friend fr the neighbor. the young man beside her is her son. And on the left side the one packing the bread is one of the bread packer and also my Mommy Merly's nephew. They work there too and they get paid. Mommy Flor can afford that now because their bakery is a success. And that is thanks to her diligence.

IMG20220930104603.jpg

It is also because of her resilience that she successfully made her dream come true. Problems didn't let her confidence down. Problem is just a problem and it can be solve. Mommy Flor has this something on her that if she really want it, she will get it and she will make it happen. That's just how she is. She just won't give up as long as she still have the hope. That's just how amazing she is. Wish I can be like her.

IMG20220929170635.jpg

The bakery has already close down but the experience and the lesson, and also the adventure while doing all of it is still in her memories and heart. She still remember it, off course. She's 68 years old now, she has savings, she has pension and she has her own house. Awesome right? That is why I admire her for all what she did. She's amazing. Right now she's enjoying her life with her smartphones with it's games. That's the thing that makes her happy now.

Thanks for tagging! That is one of the business I am eyeing, bakery. Everyone loves bread right?
I was wondering why the bakery shutsdown?

Indeed women are resilint ano? Oftentimes don't judge them just because they got a small frame...you will be surprise for what they can do...

True, small but terrible ika nga.

Wow! She worked as a security guard. She's really strong and bold because that job is specifically for men unless there was a special demand for a female.

It's indeed inspiring to read a story of how a Filipino, regardless of the gender, fought back with all the difficulties in life. Resilient, as they call us, we are always proud and full of amazement when someone still get to smile despite every debacle. It's more amazing when it's someone close to us, like a family member. Indeed, I am happy to your aunt's life story and how she soared high to achieve greater heights.

Yiehhhh, laban even if it's hard. As long as we are not losing hope may pag asa pa na maaabit ang pangarap. Problems are always on the way but duh, it's just a problem. We'll get through it!

An aunt security guard. Who said women can't. I love the story of your aunt and her friend. The dream of the bakery and growing as a business. I hope soon you will tell us that they bought it.
