Most Used Transportation Vehicle in Our Town and One of Our Favorite, Because It Is Cheap, Bigger, and Air Conditioned!

IMG_20240217_162955.jpg

I still remember my experiences with those multicabs whenever we have to go somewhere. Although it is open air, we still have no choice but to really fit in, like sardines in a can, and you can already imagine the struggle the commuter had to face because of that. There are times too that you can eat the hair of the one sitting next to you, like they don't care about the one sitting next to them. It is really a struggle, and it's annoying too. But even if it's annoying, remembering it all is kind of fun too, lol. It is just a memory now though.

I am just thankful because I don't have to ride a vehicle before that often because my school is really close to our house. Or even if I have to, we have a tricycle here at our place too. I feel sorry for some students and even workers who had to experience that. And I know too that even though they have those experiences, I'm sure they are still thankful, especially since the fare is really cheap and can be afforded even by students.

I can't really remember when it started, but suddenly a Bahaghari transportation vehicle appeared in our town. It's like a minibus and similar to a Forland too, which I will feature here below. It has a different name because it came from a different company. It is much bigger than the multicab that we're used to. It is air-conditioned, and the fare is also cheap. Though I feel like it is much slower than the multicab, it's still better than that.

Then, from Bahaghari Transportation, Forland came. And they started to operate, more Forland vehicles came until they replaced the multicab completely filling the road with them. Forland has a ticketing system, which I think is much better. As you can see, the fare is 52 PHP, or almost $1. That's our fare when we visit Pinamalayan for my checkup. And when I went to Pinamalayan last month, the fare was still the same. Although I noticed that the Forland vehicle is like old now based on its machine,.

Anyway, Forland is most commonly used not just by students but also by the people who require them to travel. Some use a closed van, but it's for those who have to travel far. While in Forland, as long as you get there earlier, you can surely get to your destination in time. I just can't help but compare this to our travels to Calapan using a van. In the morning, the travel took us 1 and a half hours. Originally, it should have been 2 or 2 and a half hours.

While if we travel using Forland to get to Pinamalayan, originally we could reach that place for half an hour, but because it is really slow and, you know, the vehicle had to stop a lot of times to pick up a passenger, it can take us an hour just to get there. Like, really, lol. It's a good thing that the Forland is air-conditioned. And they play music sometimes, there are some Ford vehicles too that have a flat-screen TV so the passenger can watch. Amazing no?

But I wish they could also make it faster, lol. They can if they want to, it's just that they chose not to do it. And just to make sure thay we won't be late to our appointment or something, we always make sure to start traveling much earlier to avoid it. Anyways, do you have this kind of vehicle too in your area? If so, how's the experience? And if you have another kind of transportation vehicle, let us know or Join ASEAN Transportation Contest #96.

The last picture made me think about how we are so far away but still the cities can look so similar... But if you have AC you win haha, here we have tons of buses, non of them have AC sadly, there were some that used to have but now they barely go on the road.

I can relate! Walking distance lang din yung school ko from elementary to college. Somehow I'm feeling grateful! Meron na ding ganyang vehicle dito samin and so far I like it! Hindi siksikan sa loob.

That time nga napapawish pa akong sana sa malayo nalang school ko coz may mata si mom everywhere hahaha. But still, I'm thankful kasi if malayo, thats another expenses naman. At least, di na sila kasali sa ibabudget natin diba uwu. And good to know na andyan na din sila. Though kapag nataon na punuan no choice but tumayo, still, its much better kesa sa iba.

Wow, that's a very nice mini bus. I think right now there are only 3 or 4 major cities in Cambodia that offer something like that, but it's town to town transportation. Cambodia has never had any form of inner city mass transit until a few years ago the capital created a government bus route, and now many people use it.
