My Favorite Kind of Lunch Time: Prepared Healthy Dishes for the Oldies and My Lazy Way to Cook Bananas

It was March when Mommy F had her first and long walk after that scary moments of her. And the second was yesterday, when we went to Cascabel Building to withdraw her 3 months worth pension. I can't force Mom to walk with me in the morning to buy Pandesal, so i'm glad she initiated this one.

And you know what i'm most thankful? The weather is quite gloomy, there's a light rain but not enough to wet us. Still, thanks to that the walk is more cooler. We took our time walking, I noticed Mom sighing heavily so I made sure to make a stop even just for few seconds. The only problem when we're doing slow walk is that, Mommy F can't walk straight, it's like she will slip on the ground any moment even if she's holding to my arms. But well, its all good because i'm there to stop it from happening.

After our walk then, I immediately prepared our lunch, I went to the Market alone this time because Mommy D had to leave and visit her sis in Bulbugan. So I asked Mamabels to accompany Mommy F in the store because Mom might have a mistake when giving a change to a costumer. Its a quick walk to the market actually because Mamabels had to go to the market too. I'm lucky that I found a fresh fish in the market, I didn't find any on the main market but I found one on the other one, just next to the main wet market..its two kind, Tigsak and Manitis

For the Manitis, I made Sinaing na Asin, its sour and has right amount of saltiness. This is for Mommy F, I bought 1/4 of this too

Which I fried. I will fried some too for Mom but she's eating too much oily fish in the past days so I decided to make fish soup for her. As for the fried fish, its mine and for Mommy F, I also fried garlic which I seasoned with salt and MSG. Seriously, this crispy garlic is so good with rice. Mommy F enjoy this too by the way because I fried some as well for her and Mommy D

Now for the soup, I bought this fresh sweet potato leaves in the market and this will be like the soup for our lunch. Its for Mommy F but I will eat it too, hihi. And I used that long nose fish for this soup

So here's the healthy fish and vegetable soup. With just 7 ingredients I get to enjoy a yummy lunch with my oldies. HAPPY ME!!! \(^o^)/

By the way, I cook the rice late which I'm glad I did because Mommy arrived home with fruits in her bag, including this 6 ripe banana. When I saw it I was so excited because seeiously, its been months since I last had banana

I thought hard about ways to cook it but I end up doing the simplest and the easiest. I steamed it on top of the steamed white rice.

I carefully arrange the cur bananas on top when the rice's about to be cooked. I let it sit there for 3 minutes on top, in slow heat, and another 2 minute after turning off the gas stove.

Its done in no time, it becomes like a side dish while we're eating our lunch. Its a full meal for everyone. My heart and stomach is happier because our lunch is just so fresh and good.
