[WE-139] Weekend Word: Four Languages in One Word

(Edited)

I love watching K-dramas and anime, though I am now more focused on watching anime. Both are my favorites, and whenever I discover a new short clip of anime or K-dramas on Facebook and I find it good and interesting, I will save it immediately and download it on my phone. And I really spend money just to avail any promo for my data just so I can download those, lol. Watching these is a source of happiness for me.

Because they are using different languages, like Japanese and Korean, we can sometimes learn a few words from them. Though I don't know how to write them in their original language, as long as I hear them and know the meaning of them, I can use them. Just the basics and those words that can be easily learned, even for a slow learner like me. It's just fun to learn new Language from other countries.

So anyway, I will share this one word that I love to use when I am thankful or happy. It is a combination of four languages with one meaning, which is "thank you." I am not sure if this is okay, but I will still share it. The languages used here are, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, and English. I am not sure if I am the only one using it, but what I usually read on social media is "Arigathanks," which is a Japanese and English combination.

A lot of people are using that, so I thought of making mine, which is a combination of my favorite languages, Japanese and Korean, with a little twist using our language and the universal language, which is English.

Arigakamsalamathanks

a combination of four different words with different languages but one meaning: Arigato, Kamsahamnida, Salamat, and Thanks. All of them have the meaning of giving thanks to someone when you are very grateful for what you receive, whether it is a thing or a compliment.

I often use this in a chat like this. I am so grateful for what I received. It is a simple word, but it is full of feelings.

And you know, these words feel like they were created for them to be one. I mean, try to say it and see it for yourself. It fits perfectly. And actually, I don't find it a weird word, especially if you know the meaning of each word that was used here.

And I just combined them using those words in different languages. And the outcome is good, which, in fact, I find cool. It's kind of long, but because I already memorized the word, it is easy for me to say it. But typing it is a bit hard, but you'll get used to it too.

And I also like the little laugh that I can give to someone if they ever read that word. I mean, who wouldn't laugh at it? It is long, a combination of four words, and in different languages, lol. For sure, they will find it more funny if they also love to watch anime and K-dramas; they will recognize it.
