My Favorite Holiday ~` LOH159
Holidays are fun. I see it as a time to take a break from work, relax, and reenergize your body and soul. It also signifies a time with families and friends, visiting your loved ones and also visiting new places.
I have always loved every holiday no matter which it is as I welcome any chance to be in festive mode. My favorite holiday is New Year's Day which is always on the first day of every New Year.
Before New Year's Day, there would have been lots of events that would have taken place. There's something I love about the month of December (which is always the last month of the year). Right from the very first day of this month, I am already in festive mode. I can't say maybe it's because my birthday happen to fall in December but I have always found that month interesting.
On December 25th which is for Christmas day, you will see lots of smiling around with people going out with their loved ones, children visiting their parents whom they haven't seen for a while. The aura of felicity and joy would be wafting through the air. There will be lots of food 😍😍😍 with people giving out to their neighbors and also receiving.
December 31st which is New Year's Eve is another important day. What I love most about that day is during the countdown which starts by 11:59 pm. As soon as the countdown begins, people always come together and say it in unison. This is usually the time that you will see most people at their place of worship, some will be with their loved ones and they will hold hands as they usher in the new year.
What I find interesting about this day is that it's intriguing how you can move from one year to another in the space of some seconds and as soon as the countdown gets to zero, there will be shouts of "HAPPY NEW YEAR" here and there and it is usually followed by fireworks or knockouts.
Then the congratulatory messages start pouring in and people get in contact with their loved ones who are not close to them. The joy I always feel on New Year's Day cannot be described in words.
Presently we are gearing close to the end of the month and subsequently to the last of the "ember" months.
In about 7 weeks from today, we will be observing the New Year's Day and I can't wait to celebrate with my loved ones both online and offline.
Oh! The fireworks and knockouts were always a joy to behold. I remember carrying some knockouts as a child😅😅😅
Those were good days man. Now kids are asleep or pressing their phones....no time to enjoy quality little pleasures.
I tell you. These children now doesn't know there is fun outside their phones.

Countdown to the new years day🥳. I absolutely love December because of the festivities. The air is always very alluring and I can't help but love it. This years celebration is definitely going to be an amazing one.
I, too love holidays if not for anything it gives the thought that you will be off from work for some days or weeks is enough happiness.
Christmas and new year are those fun holidays one needs to be merry and celebrate with loved ones.
