My Worst Spillage || STB#67

In our day-to-day activities, we sometimes encounter some form of accidents. It does happen even if we are very careful but it happens more when we are careless.

My worst catastrophic spill happened when I was younger, I was very ill and unable to take in food. My mum was very concerned because I don't easily fall ill and when I do, I mostly eat more and take my medications. That has made it very easy for me to quickly get better.

So this particular illness had me turning down food, and my mum decided to prepare pap which is a liquid-form food. After preparing the pap, she brought it inside and kept it on the table close to the chair where I was lying and told me to stand up and try drinking it.

She went out and I due to my tiredness, I carelessly carried the cup filled with hot pap and lay down on the chair, I wondered how I thought I could drink it while lying down, and before I could say jack ;

"Aaaahhhh", I screamed and my mum rushed in to find me groaning in pain, the hot pap had spilled all over my body and it didn't take long before blisters started forming on my stomach. My mum did her best to reduce the pain and it got better after some time. I can say that was on the list of my worst spillage ever.

Spilling coffee has happened to me more than once and while it felt frustrating at the time, I don't think it's among my worst spills ever, one time, I prepared a cup of coffee and while placing the cup on the floor, I accidentally gave the cup a little kick causing it to spill on the floor, luckily it was a tiled floor which made it easy to clean and I also had more coffee in my mug so I poured myself another and carefully placed it on the chair.

However, I have had a friend tell me about her worst coffee spillage which spilled all over her white bed sheets causing a huge stain she wasn't able to completely get rid of and that had stopped her from ever taking coffee while on the bed.

I think one of the worst ways people can spill their coffee is when it's spilled on work-related things, be it on their computer keyboard or paper presentation especially when they might not be able to find a solution to it.

Thank you for reading.

Coffee spilled on white sheets makes you cry, they are very difficult to remove, I can already imagine the odyssey of that day and the very painful porridge accident, poor you.

Thanks for sharing.☕
Happy day.

It was very painful and I made sure I didn't repeat what I did that caused the spillage.

Thank you for coming around.

Coffee on a PC roof, if it is not airtight, is fatal. The same applies to a Sony keyboard. Nowadays, it is easy to remove stains from white garments with specialised products. Did you know that if you're not careful, coffee also stains your teeth...

Yes, I have heard about that and I also learned there are ways to avoid it.

I think it's best to avoid placing coffee next to a laptop to avoid spillage.

Thank you for stopping by.

Burning yourself to such a degree sounds like a memory that will always stick with you, how awful! Aside from being harmed, I agree that the worst spills damage that which cannot be replaced. I do not place beverages anywhere near my laptop just in case, because of such thinking!

The memory of that day remains forever.

Yes, I think it's a good idea you keep beverages away from your laptop. It's safer that way.

Thank you for visiting.

As you were telling the story I was shouting out to young @rukkie "don't take the pap to the sofa" :D I am always overthinking when it comes to hot stuff and still end up spilling things :D

This was a fun read :) reminded me of when I bought a brand new laptop a few years ago and we were sitting out in the balcony and I spilled Sprite onto the keys. Somehow got it dried asap but the number keys have been sticky ever since :)

Cheers from a fellow #dreemerforlife

That pap experience you had really scared me, well it's history now. Coffee spilling on your work related material can be so annoying, If care is not taken, you may have to get new ones.

I came across this post on Dreemport
