I chose this song because for a very long time I have been making excuses for my "stagnation". I would say I haven't gotten to where I need to because I wasn't born into a wealthy home. I have been holding back because I sometimes feel inadequate. I look at people who had gone far and myself, it was possible for them because they had a Support system. But lately, I thought about it and I told myself, instead of wallowing in self-pity,why not let go of the fear that is holding you back and put yourself out there. So I say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I've stopped making excuses for myself and I am putting myself out there and by putting my hope in God, I believe it will yield a positive result.

Es la semana #164 en Hiveopenmic. El tema de esta semana : Hopeful elegido por @jmis101 es uno con el que realmente conecto y compartiré una canción de Alicia Keys titulada "GIRL ON FIRE".

Elegí esta canción porque durante mucho tiempo he estado poniendo excusas por mi "estancamiento". Yo diría que no he llegado a donde necesito porque no nací en un hogar rico. Me he estado conteniendo porque a veces me siento inadecuada. Miro a la gente que ha llegado lejos y yo misma, fue posible para ellos porque tenían un sistema de apoyo. Pero últimamente he pensado en ello y me he dicho a mí misma que, en lugar de revolcarme en la autocompasión, por qué no dejar ir el miedo que te retiene y salir ahí fuera. Así que digo BASTA YA. He dejado de ponerme excusas y me expongo y pongo mi esperanza en Dios. Creo que dará un resultado positivo.
