Dinner!

I didn't feel like cooking this evening. We had some leftover pizza from yesterday for lunch, so dinner could not be a sandwich. We had no eggs to make omelettes, pasta was out of the question because we had it on Saturday, I didn't know what I could make that would be quick and wouldn't make a mess in the kitchen.

After work, I went to the supermarket for some bread and milk and I saw some sausages. "They'd make a nice dinner", I thought and bought two pieces. Back home all I needed to do was lay a piece of baking paper on my tray and put the pieces of sausage on it. The oven took care of the rest.

I love this way of cooking sausages because all the grease is spewed on the paper and the meat is not so greasy. Plus, the doggies get to enjoy a very very tasty sauce over their dogfood, since the fatty oils give their croquettes a whole different taste. I know, it doesn't sound all that healthy but it's something they enjoy every once in a while, so they'll be ok.

This kind of treat would go perfectly with some cooked feta cheese too, I thought while putting the sausages in the oven. I wrapped a piece of cheese with oregano and olive oil in some baking paper and foil and I put it next to the tray with the sausages.

For a moment I wondered whether I should make some fries to complete the feast, but then I decided not to, as the meat was already fatty enough to add the extra fried oil to it. A little fresh bread was just fine. The only thing missing was a beer, but we had run out of them 😅

hahaha, It's very difficult to decide what you cook, and if you are cooking on the daily basis it's become harder :D My wife usually ask me what we should cook today, I tell her that this is your work , just tell me what i need to bring from the market. Glad you got the idea and enjoyed your meal.
