School diaries: Halloween
Halloween is not a Greek tradition, but the last few years thanks to marketing and advertising it's getting popular. Therefore, I could not leave it out of my lessons, especially since our English teacher had already discussed it with the students of all the classes.
I had an Art class with my second graders yesterday and we made some Halloween crafts to decorate the classroom. We talked a little about the celebration and what it means and then it was painting time!!!
The kids loved painting these little bats, although they needed a little help attaching them to the clouds (that's where Miss Ruthie steps in and saves the day 🤣)

How nice to share with the kids, and it's always good to mention to the little ones what a tradition is all about, like Halloween in this case, how nice that they had fun.
Why did you attach the bats to clouds? Bats are more nocturnal mammals, they actually prefer caves and other dark places..
Nice job. It’s huge by me.
Not as huge as this one in the photo, but the kids had fun!
