The bible highlights that some people hears the preaching of God but they doesn't follow what the teachings says. Some people listen to words of God, but still go back to their evil ways. Jesus spoke about this when He taught in parables, showing that some people hear but do not understand because their hearts are not open. Hearing is physical, but listening is spiritual it requires attention, humility, and a willingness to obey.

Matthew 13:13, Jesus said, “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.”

This means that people can be present when God’s word is spoken, yet remain unchanged. Their minds may be distracted, or their hearts may be hardened. True listening requires more than just being present; it requires a sincere desire to understand what God is saying.
