I earned it

Growing up, I remember how I was always gifted money and different items, but then I started making money for myself when I was in senior secondary school back then I would write assignment, and notes for my class mates and then also when I got my first job.

But today, I will be writing on how I earned my first money without literally working for it, but then I earned it. It was after my Common Entrance Examination, I was freshly out of primary school it was going to be a long holiday for me I thought of going to my aunt's place but my parents objected to it, so i ended up spending my holiday at home and most times alone, because my parents would go to work and my other siblings went to school.

Anyways, the first week wasn't completely boring because I no longer had to wake up so early to prepare for school. I spent most of my time watching cartoons, I was forbidden from going out or inviting a friend over but after a while, the whole routine started becoming boring I started missing school and my friends.

One day, I got so bored there was no light, no one to talk to so I decided to take a stroll down the street for some reason the area was very busy that day, after walking for awhile I got tired I looked for a place with little shade to sit because it was sunny. I sat opposite a shop where they sell provisions I saw people going and coming out of the shop it was an interesting view for me.

Then I was about to start going home, when a lady came out of the store, she was trying to stuff some money in her trousers back pocket but unknown to her the money fell off when I noticed this, I went closer picked the money and then went after the lady and returned the money to her, she looked surprised and pleased at the same time then she asked me to keep it I refused initially but then she insisted, I thanked her and headed back home when I calculated the money it was roughly #500(five hundred naira).

I waited for my parents to return I told them about my day and what happened they were pleased to hear the good act but also upset that I had left the house without their knowledge.
