Theinkwell writing challenge | "The radiant night".

Every afternoon before nightfall, Mr. Rafael would sit with his grandson and tell him anecdotes of his life, have a cup of coffee and his grandson a glass of milk, both in a rocking chair overlooking the main entrance. The boy stared at the sign and exclaimed "The radiant night!" Then he asked his grandfather: "Why is the farm called like that?"

-I'm telling you son, when he was 25 years old, the boss decided to give him that name because ... (Marcos interrupted with a question).

-Night? What is grandfather night?

-Yes Marcos, the night, didn't you know that there is day and night?

-No! Tell me about that, Grandpa, okay? (Marcos said with great emotion).

-Ok son, let me explain, when everything is clear and there is sunlight we can indicate that it is daytime, just when you hear the song of the birds, the rooster and you must get out of bed to go to school, that is the day.

-Do I understand grandfather, and the night?

-Son, the night is when everything is dark, the stars and the moon rise in the sky, the crickets sing, the toads also and the fireflies light up the lake, also, it is when you have to go to sleep.

-I understand grandfather, (jumping and excited) Marcos hugged his grandfather and said: "Thank you, continue with your story grandfather."

-Hahaha, ok son, as I was saying, the boss fell in love at 25 and told us that he would make the marriage proposal on December 31, 1985.

-And did Grandpa do it?

-Yes son, that day we were celebrating the end of the year party and he dedicated a song to him with the llanera music group, he stood at the center of the track and took out a precious ring and asked him: "Do you want to be my wife?"

-And did Grandpa say?

-Yes, the chief announced that day: “Today is an important day in my life, my beloved told me yes, in her honor from today my lands will have a name and it is The Radiant Night."

-What a beautiful grandfather, then, can there be nights radiant like the sun?

-Yes son, all those nights that are special and bring joy to your life will always be radiant nights. Already! Finish your milk, my coffee is long gone, it's night and you have to sleep.

-Hahaha, I finished grandfather (he gave him a big hug) and said: "You are the best grandfather in the world, I love you."

-And I to you my champion, go to sleep, I love you.

They both went to rest on that radiant night and lived happily ever after.
