It has been 34 years since the birth of Yoselin, a beautiful girl who became the number one granddaughter of both families, both her paternal and maternal part celebrated on December 31, 1985 for her arrival.

His growth was not the most expected, something genetic! Both parents of average height, this inheritance accompanied her in all facets of her life, in school she was always the smallest but this did not limit her in developing her gifts, abilities and talents.

She was a great student, always outstanding in everything, her sixth grade teacher, Nélida, selected her as a representative for the mathematics Olympics and she proudly carried the first gold medal for her institution, many accolades and decorations she received for this.

Yoselin learned from a very young age many important values ​​in life and assimilated the importance of Responsibility, honesty, ethics, empathy, love, among others, always recognizing that justice, honor, and honor make every human being a better person.

Five years passed and Yoselin already managed to move on to the next stage of studies, an excellent young graduate with 15 years of age, immediately began to study a technical career, Gas Technology, only three years lasted her career and in the last semester she did her internships in the best oil industry in the country, Petróleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA).

The dreamy Yoselin went to her first day of internships with all the spirit in the world, all the new interns and thesis students were there, until the leader arrived, Engineer Robert, a arrogant, macho and haughty man who despised the work of a woman in the part of the productive processes of the industry; Ten were in the room, nine of them men and thesis students opting for engineering degrees, Yoselin the only woman and intern. Engineer Robert's contempt was brutal towards this young woman.

It was quite a traumatic experience for Yoselin; Meetings were held every Friday where everyone contributed their opinion and professional criteria and were listened to, when Yoselin's intervention corresponded, Engineer Robert ignored it.

One big day there was an operational problem in the static equipment of the X8 collection station located in the western area of ​​the Campo Mata city area, Anzoátegui state, specifically a horizontal separator that had liquid drag problems that triggered a stop of plant in the compressor area due to the surplus of liquids received. Yoselin had the answer, her internship was focused on redesigning that separator and she already had all the calculations.

The engineer Robert had ignored and belittled Yoselin so much that he had no idea of ​​the important work she was doing just to think she was a woman and was not opting for an engineering degree, to her surprise at that meeting all the thesis students informed her of the work she was doing Yoselin and asked him in an arrogant way: "Get up and explain to me that you were able to evaluate", Yoselin gave him a master class in engineering design of static equipment, he already had the chromatographic analysis of the gas that was handled in the area and had the solution made with simulator and everything they needed.

Although the engineer Robert knew that he was right, he did not give it to him, he only said sarcastically: "These calculations can only be done by an Engineer", this left Yoselin puzzled and it was the first time he said: "being right is a lonely place", Being the only woman, the only one who would be graduated as a Superior Technician, had become the worst in the world and although she was right, they did not give her the credit. Engineer Robert covered himself with glory in a management meeting with Yoselin's job and was promoted to Superintendent.

After three months of internship, he finally achieved his goal, at 18 he already had a degree in his hands. Superior Technician in Gas Technology.

Like every young Yoselin, he waited and dreamed of joining Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), despite the experience previously lived in the internship process, he managed to enter another management three years later, he was exactly 21 years old at the time.

Emotions invaded his body, but it wasn't long when history repeated itself, he always wondered: "Is machismo and arrogance an epidemic in this company?" Men did not tolerate that a woman did the same work as them and also added value by proving to be even more productive.

Today Yoselin has 13 years of service in the Industry and the events lived are a great list, as well as to write a book, machismo continues, corruption overflows, lies abound more than the leaves of the trees, the lack of companionship is extreme and because they are not like the rest they have it isolated, always taking advantage of their intellect and ability to solve operational problems and never valuing their effort.
