The Curious Encounter at Albert's Shipyard || Quirky Merchants and Unexpected Finds

Hello everyone,
In the last post, Summer told Stella about a strange dream about a snake or something, she also said that when she went to the cabin where we set sail, she marked a place on the map and she said that area has been troubling her, she doesn't know how to feel about the place though, she just wanted to see the place. so In this post, we shall explore what this is about.

I had many things to catch up on, like watering the fields and garden and cooking and fishing. I feel like the ship is traveling kinda fast and after just fishing two or three fishes, I just reach the destination and there is no time to do other chores around the boat. first I have to set sail to the place where summer was marked on the map, but there were some ship wrecks nearby and I couldn't waste them so I made a quick detour to collect the ship wrecks nearby. I got lots of ore and other minerals which could help me when I build new rooms or buildings on the ship. then I saw Albert's shipyard was nearby the ship, so I just made a small pit stop there to check if I can upgrade the ship or if I can buy stuff from him.

To my surprise, I met a weird, quirky guy. When I reached Albert's shipyard, I was greeted by this old guy who had an onion for his head when I looked at him, he was traveling with his large glass bowl with some logs in front of it tying them with the bowl. there were lots of stuff inside the bowl in one of which he was standing on and asked me to stand on the other one. he said his name is Francis and he was a wandering merchant who will buy anything. he knows Stella since she is the new spirit farer and asked her if she has anything to sell to him since she's been traveling for quite some time so it is possible that she would have come across lots of things. and yes Stella does have some things that are basically useless or they just don't have any application while traveling really.

For example, there was this necklace that we found on the hummingberg, I initially thought that Stella could gift them to the crew members but that is not the case. so it is wise to just sell them to this merchant now. we can also sell cooked food to him, which is very helpful and a good way to make some money. a cup of coffee is about 140 glims which is really good. and also the cooked squid is 500 glims which is even better, but we can't catch them often.

After selling the things to Francis, I went to see Albert to see if he has any upgrades for the ship, but I was surprised to see the diversity of upgrades that are available. I know that I can upgrade the blueprint station but the entire ship? and that too for only 1200 glims which were really affordable. I just sold 1000 glims worth of old carpet I don't even remember where I picked it up, so it was a surprise. maybe I was supposed to come here before, I really don't know. I unlocked the hobbyist level blueprint which lets me build a sawmill, loom, and boundary which only costs 400 glims, then I upgraded the ship to medium size.

Since there are a bunch of buildings unlocked, it's about time that the NPC started to request to build them on the ship and as soon as I boarded the ship, Atul asked Stella to build him a sawmill, I mean sure this is not like what Gwen asked for, this is really helpful for crew members, so I accepted. I also forgot to tell you, I bought these odd seeds from Francis which can be placed on the garden. I don't know what it will yield. after planting them I went to the cabin to set sail for the place Summer told me about, but there was this small island along the way, so I made a stop there, the name of the island was green halten bay. then the ship started to move on the course, I wanted to change the layout of the buildings since we upgraded and the ship is much more spacious than before. and the ship was very big I placed the field and garden on the ground since it will be more accessible.

now I got some time to check on the odd seed that I placed in the garden. as summer told Stella, she can play that tune to promote the growth of any plant in the garden, I am not a fan of this mechanism, but I was very curious to what this plant will yield. so I started playing the tune, and the plant finally grew and it actually yielded a carpet which will be 1000 glims, and a ring which will be around 500 glims I think, and some empty bottles and an empty shell. the odd seeds cost 500 glims so it is profitable to buy them, but I'm not sure if the things it will yield are random or fixed. we have to plant some odd seed to find that out.

then we reached greenhalten bay, Atul asked for me as soon as the animation went down. he told me to open the bottle, I then remembered on my way to this island, I found a bottle with paper in it while fishing, I opened it to see what that is. It seems this is a brochure for a tourist island, there was a message popping up saying the place is marked on the map. Maybe we'll visit after finishing up with the whole summer dream thing. the name of this Island was Gerinu Fields, this place had oak trees and this is the first place we are going to acquire some.

Then we went to the Island, what was special about this island was it had copper ore in it, typically we only find a stone on the island but finding copper is good, we need it to upgrade the ship, and there were some maple logs and berries, so I collected them too, then we went to the ship to set sail to the place.

The plan was to uncover the mystery of Summer's dream but I got distracted by the open-world things of the game, but we'll continue the quest and see what it's about in the next post, I hope you liked the post, if you have any opinion on this game or this post or me, please leave them as a comment, thank you for your time.

Thank you for your time !!!
Have a nice day !!
