With my small account, I am also doing the same thing. Swapping all my HBD for HIVE due to the latter's current low price. I am thinking that a time like this is rare and I better take the opportunity to grow my HIVE. As for HBD, I am thinking to start saving once I reached the Dolphin status. However, on second thought, after reading geekgirl's post this morning about HBD, I am now thinking that either I will buy 100 HBD as 2023 starts and hold it for 7 years, or from now on, I will just keep saving the HBD I earn both from creating and curating content.

I would rather have the HP growing right now so I can curate and be active and give better upvotes.
That sounds like an interesting idea. Getting a bunch of HBD all at once and just letting it sit for several years.
And it would get the interest pumping too.

Yeah, geekgirl in her article argues that the 20% interest is actually similar to printing new money. And who doesn't want to have such a capability, which is considered illegal in traditional finance?😅

On second thought, I wonder why is it legal for the government to print money out of nothing and yet illegal for us. Does it mean that one law applies to us and the same law exempts them? Isn't that somehow arbitrary and a double standard? Just sharing my wild thoughts. 🤦🤣

It's totally a double standard and extremely hypocritical, @rzc24-nftbbg.
But that is how most governments operate.
