Splinterlands: "Focus" drained my ECR and me.
I was aiming for minimum 7 Diamond chest on my main account ris2g3 and at one time "win" was also favoring me that I actually advanced to Diamond 3 league. But unfortunately series of losses currently forced me to Gold 1 but I am still not far away to barge in again in Diamond league.
After winning 5 Diamond chest , my ECR was around 75% and going for another 2 chest can drain it much more. I am not sure that ECR rate has impact on rewards point or not but I think they do have effect in both RP and DEC payment per ranked win.
In the end , I do not regret it as I got a chaos pack as rewards from these 5 chest.

I got Fire quest for the account saachi and Death quest for account r1s2g3 and since I ended last season in Diamond so my chests are of "Diamond" level. I claimed 4 and 5 diamond chest respectively for the account saachi and r1s2g3.

I haven't really gotten into the new rewards yet. For some reason I just have not played in the last 2 weeks. I've been focusing on Rising Star. It's a bit mindless but I'm working on my strategy.

Effort to reward ration is best for the Risingstar so I can understand.
SL rewards are high so the effort.

True. But I'm terrible at Splinterlands so I struggle to win even in bronze. Risingstar has been a really good ROI for me so far. It has become a background habit for me with an open browser. It's surprises me how addicted I am to it. I haven't had that with Splinter so far. Hopefully I get better at it.

The same happened with me! Now with the new Reward System, I'm playing WAY MORE matches and my ECR is just drained!

yeah, but on good note rewards are overall good, I got 4 Chaos pack in a week that is really nice.

Don't let stress get to you to much focusing on the daily chests. I had that happen the first two days. I got tilted easily and played even worse because of it. Now I am keeping my ECR at 95% + at all times ( I work from home so I play 3 games for some distraction and get back to working ). At the end of the day I end with 90% ECR and wake up with 99% again. Works great and the amount of chest that I get is what it is. Not stressing about getting that extra. You have some high win % days and some lower % win days.
I was trying to grab more chest but I see current system is causing us
a.) To play more , and we have to set our limits now.
b.) Playing almost "focus" summoner in every match when it is not even suited and might not be the first choice in earlier system.
I guess with time we will adapt well to changes.
