The community of Quetepe has also spread to the other side of the road, Troncal 9 Highway; there you can see a few homes and businesses, but the most impressive feature is the land across the street. A rural landscape stands out, with vast open spaces and wild vegetation, divided by a stone wall.
You can see some leafy trees with broad canopies and other smaller shrubs. In the background rises a mountain covered in dense, wooded vegetation—one of the area’s most striking features, as the sea can be seen from the mountain and vice versa.
This land is perfect for farming; in fact, pineapples, bananas, and plantains are grown in this area. I also noticed several lemon trees, which indicates that the soil is quite fertile. Many residents of the community make their living from farming and fishing, or at least these activities play a significant role in putting food on the table.
The local businesses cater to the occasional tourists who visit the spa area; a restaurant and a liquor store stand out, and there was also a fruit stand near the road, trying to catch the attention of travelers.
The scenery was quite enchanting despite the cloudy day; I can imagine waking up and feeling rejuvenated by the energy that nature can provide. Rainy days also have their charm, which is why we should enjoy every moment and appreciate those little details.
Sometimes routine can be overwhelming, which is why I like to get out and enjoy the beautiful spots in Sucre Department—and also venture further afield to explore other departments. Nature is there, waiting for us to explore it, and doing so will bring greater well-being to our lives.

La comunidad de Quetepe también ha crecido hacia el otro lado de la vía, la carretera Troncal 9, allí se notan algunas viviendas y comercios, pero lo más impresionante es el terreno que está enfrente. Muchos habitantes de la comunidad viven de la agricultura y de la pesca, o al menos estas actividades cubren una parte importante para llevar el sustento a la mesa.
Los locales comerciales están relacionados con el turismo ocasional que suele presentarse en la zona del balneario, un restaurante y una licorería aparecen en primer plano, también una venta de frutas estaba cerca de la vía, tratando de llamar la atención de los viajeros.

A veces la rutina resulta agobiante, por tal razón me agrada salir y disfrutar de los rincones hermosos que tiene el estado Sucre y también ir más allá, conocer otros estados. La naturaleza está allí, esperando para que la exploremos y con eso lograremos mayor bienestar en nuestras vidas.
