Tears went down the stream

Chills froze the air and I was devastated, what do you think happened? The tune played in, I closed my lids and gave in. The crimson perfume of the velvet lilacs filled my lungs while tears rolled down the stream. What do you think happened?

With fuzzy vision covering my eyes, piercing moments stay caged, time does not pass, nothing heals. My heart aches, and my voice breaks, but the lilacs are still the same. The vibe is still the same, is it not Lilac?

"Azmiiiiiiiir, when will we get married? Look at me, will you keep me waiting all my life?" Lilac brushed through the firm checks of Azmir while tickling his stubble. She draws close to him and asks again, "why make me wait, darling, I love you?"

"Lilac move away" the nonchalant voice of Azmir barked at Lilac. Little did she know that even now his harsh words make her cry. She knew that he is struggling on his own and she is nothing but a burden to him, but nonetheless, can she deny that she loves him and wants to be with him. Does Azmir want the same, was a question that bothered her every time they had a fight or rash conversations.

Lilac moves away while Azmir is aware that she is hurt. He wants to care but does he? Lilac takes his words and inside, she knows he is struggling but her tears know no bounds, it never did, everyone mocks her for it but still tears run down the streams.

"Stop it Lilac, you are not a child and I did not say anything harsh to you, stop being sensitive Lilac and stop pretending to be a victim, alwaaaays!" Azmir was tired of taking it all in but never did he ever admit he was, all he did was show a tantrum and insult Lilac with his bitter words and make her gulp it all up but unlike every day, today Lilac did not look back at him. She doesn't want to look at him, "I am tired too".

Lilac leaves the room, he has been making promises to her that he was unable to keep and he is still making more promises just to throw them away again. She knew this and she is tired, she is tired of waiting and waiting and waiting. What do you think happened next? Maybe you are true, maybe his words tormented her, bruised her only existence and her only reason to live. What happened next? Lilac ran away. The smell of lilac ran away with the breeze, little did Azmir know that he was not the only one suffering.

As long as she was around, her perfume would enrich his mind and keep him strong, every time she left he withered. He was well aware of his circumstances but his ego is more than the breeze, wave, and diffusion. He needed nothing but her presence to live his present and wanting to make her his, was his only goal but he knew that she would wait and he delayed and delayed and delayed.

"Lilac, I am sorry, I am trying to get us together and it will take time, please try to understand and be an adult. I need to get my life straight, or else I can't fit the puzzles. I need you with me, we still are together without getting married, are we not? Please bear this moment with me, Lilac." Azmir longed to her, she was lying on the couch, with her head faced down. Azmir moved near her, to see her fast asleep with tears rolled down her stream. Azmir kissed her cheeks and left to work on his laptop again.

The waves crashed onto the stones, like the raging self. Tears occupied his vision and the strong smell of lilac overwhelmed him, Lilac will never come back, he knew. Those who pass away, do not come back. Lilac died in her sleep on the couch and never woke up. Azmir never got to say her goodbye, the words never made their way to her. The waiting never ended for her, she was bruised and she was hurt and she has died.

Azmir lies next to her grave, where planted lilacs cover her face, and Azmir feels her pain. Her agony will always overwhelm his existence as long as he lives. Tears went down the stream, the stream of many faces of loved ones, while waiting remained and death knows no bound.

"Azmiiiiiiiir, when will we get married? Look at me, will you keep me waiting all my life?" Lilac brushed through the firm checks of Azmir and her soft hazy romantic voice echoed. She draws close to him and asks again, "why to make me wait, darling, I love you!", her lips fade away from his forehead.

Her presence is what he longed for but her existence is seized to exist, now how will he adore her? Time is limited, moments are little, seize the chances and take the risk, marrying is not a curse but a gift. Lilac is still with Azmir, but only he can feel voidness and not her.

In my last post, a few comments made me think of making a sad fiction but the thing is life is already very sad, so I try to keep lively content in order to keep the balance. Life is already very toxic and I prefer to keep it a little better. Interestingly, this time around I am making a change and I hope you two like it. Share your review.

This is a very melancholic story that leaves the reader with a sense of Azmir's emptiness next to Lilac's eternal grief. Azmir alongside Lilac's eternal grief. Thanks for writing it for The Ink Well, @sadfish.

Thanks also for the comments on the other stories
