Project: Distriator
Add a business - not working - Fixed
- After adding a business, on web-app, we encountered an error.
- We investiaged the issue & it was a mapping issue.
- We've fixed this issue & shipped it to beta environment.
Multiple Selection for Payment methods
- We had a dropdown for payment methods.
- It needed improvement.
- We've implemented a multiple selection for payment method.
- This improvement is done & deployed on beta
Only Admins can delete a business
- Access based business deletion was missing.
- We added this based on user-type on UX & on back-end as well.
- Only admins will be able to delete the businesses
- Only admins will see delete button
Bug - Regular users don't see businesses - fixed
- Regular users don't see businesses.
- Regular users receive little values compare to admins & guides
- Due to these, front-end code had to add additional handling of missing values
- We've fixed this issue & it's on beta env now.
Bug - Delete a business API has issues - Fixed
- Delete a business API was not working
- I updated backend & added necessary changes to support business deletion
- It's fixed & it's working now on Beta env.
Only guides & admins should be able to change business hive username - Done
- Any one can add a business
- But only guides & admins should be able to update the business hive username.
What's Next?
- ✅ Deploy APIs on a new backend - beta-environment
- ✅ Deploy front-end on beta-environment, pointing to beta-backend.
- ⏳ Fix issues if we find any
- Write a script to add all businesses to database
- ⏳ Test everything on beta env
- Deploy things to production

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-08-12, 3Speak published total 136 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 105 videos from 136 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 77.21 % of total videos published on 2024-08-12
