New Year, New Adventures, New Explorations!

Hello everyone,
Back to my grounds after almost a year. Missed the platform dearly!

Life's been strong, my first professional year. Enjoyed a love/hate relationship with my career- ARCHITECTURE!
Besides my practice, I learnt many people are so unaware of architectural surroundings, Doesn't it happens with you , if you're into a specific field or stream then a new world suddenly opens up to you which is generally grey to others?

Or this fact is pretty normal to you and adulting took over little excitements and joy from your lives?
Hahaha! Sorry Harsh!

So, if you're here to get a dose of some Architecture stuff, Most welcome:)

This magnificent and controversial structure in my home town- Delhi is a must visit along with other beautiful marvels.

You can find it's history easily on net but what you can't find there, I will express that.
So, along with my only girl bestie went to Qutub Minar to witness it's beauty during late evenings as I always visited solo during day.
These are mostly ruins of ancient structure, The usage is controversial as best I could say my culture- Hindu's claims that this was our temple before mughals invated our territories and destroyed plus built and false claimed their monuments on ours. as the destroyed idols, stones, indian carvings, lotus, iron pillar engravings etc are proofs trill date backs up hindu's claim.
On the other hand islamic people claim this to be their own built up structure with islamic carvings on certain stones etc.

So widely, this is a matter of dispute and most best and clean way I could have explained to majority.

Moving forward from controversy to legacy
Indeed a beauty, To my non- architecture friend who was here for her insta pictures, was dragged by me to touch and feel the engravings on structure.

The lightings were cherry on the cake.
The minar is 5 story height tower with balconies all around mostly the circular shape with motifs hanging around in different shapes. Around the minar there are alleys, domes, rows of pillars, broken structures with cuts and memory of history.

As we passed around each monument be broken or repaired one we felt there are many stories and events these must have witnessed and now our generation is going to be history for future gen.

The steps, the interlocked structures, the small shaved bricks and sandstone made us wonder how interesting and genius it was for people of our ancestors who built them without the technical advancement of today's generation.

The beautiful structural cuts in each layer of domes with vivid kind of engravings are all the beautiful art of history which still lives in our society.

The beautiful science behind iron pillar-
So, there is an iron pillar which still haven't caught rust in 1600 of it's existence.

Due to it's composition and percentage of chemicals in it which are openly disclosed online , which is why it did not rust and will never be.
also it has inscriptions on it written about Shree Ram ji which are in ancient language.

At last, there was a beautiful light and sound show which everyone enjoyed and we went ended our day with it.
Both of us went back with a zest of exploring another marvel of our own city soon, which we are planning to Red Fort so, fasten your seat belts to have more of my content served for you this time.
