WE81: Making a Bag thought Creative Knitting Exercise

Welcome to the #Weekend community where great things happen over the weekend. Today is WE81 with the topic centered on Design and Create. It's so unfortunate that I missed last week's edition that talks about childhood memories. What I'm about to post is not just a v creativity done during my leisure time, but it's an art I learnt during my childhood days in school. Knitting is our of the way we augment for expensive items such bags, sweater and table clothes. It takes consistency to achieve this creative art. Create an artwork using pencils, paints, digital, charcoal, pen and ink or any other media of your choice, take a photo and post about it - Tell us why you created it, what inspired you or what story does your artwork tell. You can also use one of your existing pieces.

It all started when I was in High school, although I've had passion for knitting even before entering High school because my mom usually makes so lovely items from wool. There was a time she couldn't afford to buy me sweater for the wet season and I was so cold that she decided to buy some wool to make me sweater from the wool. Since then I began to have passion for knitting. Today am knitting a small bag for the pleasure of my android phone.

Items Used in Knitting a Bag
The items are very few but the process of knitting is very technical. The items include:

• Wool of different colors
• Knitting pin
• Scissors
• Matches

How to Knit a Bag
In order to be effective you have to measure the size of what you're about to knit. In today's knitting work I measured the size of the bag using my android phone since that's what it's made for. After that row the wool around your finger and start knitting along a slime line as seen in the picture below.

How Long Does it Take to Knit Items
It takes me 2 to 3 days for the size of bag that I made when I'm less busy. I said earlier that knitting is done during my leisure time. For sweater that will size my son, it'll take about a week or two to finish it.

Finally my passion for creativity in terms of knitting is very high. It takes a lot of creative ideas to design a sweater from tinny wool thread and a lot of passion to finish it. Sometimes in the process of knitting you can stop halfway and start the process a fresh. I'll encourage others by saying love what you do and do what you love.
