Hello everyone, my beautiful hive naija people, it's another beautiful weekend and we are so happy to have you here once again. It’s another weekend and also, a new year to buzz the hive blockchain even as we connect with ourselves. It just feels good to get everyone together every weekend to talk about random things and just have fun.

As we all know, Sam`s Hangout is focused on promoting the togetherness of the Nigeria brethren through engagement and it's also now concerned of the well being of each and everyone who is part of the engagement. This account was opened to make the engagement more personal and official. But for a poor person to become a billionaire more work need to be done, they will start by little, from little they can start to invest big and also they need to choose wise business like good business that can give them money.

This is a very deep one, and I just wanted to drop my opinion before the day gets more busier that it is....
Hardwork is good, and believe me luck can as well lift and take a person very far/high in life. But becoming a "billionaire" just form hardwork, huhm. It's possible but it's rare. A lot of people are very hardworking and still not even a thousandnaire.
A lot of things has to come together for one to be one, things like the system, the right connection, timing and such.
So, hardwork alone is not enough.
Also, we live in a world where you see a billionaire leaving in same strret or owning a big mansion in the/his village that houses a lot of poverty stricken(sorry to use) individuals, people who can barely eat once in a day.
A lot of people can't afford food, rent and hospital bills, and some people have it in excess and keep on stocking it up for their unborn generations, when a generation is here in their life time wallowing in poverty. It doesn't seem right to me though.
Its not a bad thing to be a billionaire, I will be one too. But stocking up and hoarding it without trying to help or lift others with it is wrong.

I am someone that believes so well in hardworking, once one is consistent in that way,knows the inner and outer part of what you are doing,that means becoming a pro at your work, it is possible to become a billionaire from being poor but then I never underestimate luck, actually that's God's blessing, bcos when God is not in support, every hard work will be abortive. So, luck can make the journey so fast and easier.
About people accumulating fortune for their generation, it's not a bad idea accumulating fortune for ones generation when it's available, everyone do not use their children suffer the same way they do but raising some people up is also part of accumulating fund because those People will never forget your family, Do you know what's it is to have people who aren't family praying for your success, they will be ready to assist such family at any time.

And On the other hand, when a small number of people control more resources than millions combined, it raises serious moral questions about fairness, access, and opportunity.
And Can a poor person become a billionaire through hard work and luck alone? In theory, the Answer is yes.... but in reality, it is extremely rare. Hard work is necessary, but it is not sufficient... People who become Rich are positioned and ready for success. "Success is simply when preparation meets opportunity."

Okay the question says is it morally okay for people to keep billions for there generations while some people suffer or struggle to pay there bills.
My answer is simple. morally to me it's not okay.
Why I said no is that, okay this billionaire earn from the society. I understand it is normal as a parent trying to work hard for the future of there children. But what is not fair is too keep excessive money. Alot of people might question it "why is it a problem."
When such amount of money is being kept at home i don't think it's for survival anymore it's about power.
Because that money could help reduce suffering for some people. Some don't have food, can't afford house rent, and yet you choose to keep billions at home than to help the need, that's very wrong morally it is wrong.
I believe it needs to be balanced.
Yes you can save for your children's future but when you have the power to assist the need you should do it and not using that "children's future" as an excuse.

I'm not a billionaire but still out of my little i love helping even if they don't ask and i understand or know they needed my help i will help them in any little way i can.
But when I'm in need i don't always have that luck. Even from people i do help. Not like I want them to return the favour but at least i expect them to show concern. I experienced this first hand for real.

I remembered some ladies back in higher institution during my final year first semester.
I live in the hostel right from 100l. And each year I do change roommates. So during my final year, the former hostel wasn't enough anymore since more students were coming in so we the finalist were moved to another building. It's a new hostel and from the arrangement by the portress i was staying with a different colleague this time. I know them from my department not like they were strangers but we ain't that close.
Since we now live in the same space i decided to bond with them. The first 1 month in the new hostel was so difficult for me infact i barely eat sometimes in a day. Things were really though back home during that period and I understand. So my roommates noticed and even when I don't ask they will share there own food with me and reassure me everything will be fine.
Then i thought wow! I have finally found friends but who was i kidding 😂😂

I'm not really lucky when it comes to female friends. I think i forgot that for a moment.
Then finally luck shined upon me.
Things were finally getting back to normal at home.
My dad surprised me. The accountant called and informed me that dad has cleared all my school bills for that semester. I was so excited 😊 then he called me to go and wait at the park he sent me foods.
When i brought the heavy bag to the hostel my roommates and i were wondering what could be inside the bag.
And it contains enough food for 2 months including provisions. I was so happy and my roommates seemed to be happy too. I divided some of it and shared it with them. Because i know in a month's time my dad will restock for me.
In summary i never knew they were expecting me to continue to give them everyday even when they don't ask. And I can't be doing that I am just a girl whose parents are struggling so hard to make me happy and comfortable in school not a girl from wealth. So i need to take care of myself too i was surprised why they were expecting me to do more.
So since then they started picking fights with me. They started complaining about different things. Things like "my phone speaker is too loud, when i make a call in the room I'm too loud, when i want to use some plates I'm too loud....". In fact a lot of petty things.
I wasn't comfortable with their attitude but what can i do. I bought an ear pod so that i won't disturb them again. But still they continue to talk bad about me till we part ways from that school.

I agree that we should help not because we need repayment, but because we want to and we need to. Morally, it shouldn't be right to keep such wealth when there are people struggling to even feed once a day. We can't help everyone, yes. But we can help the ones we can.

I've never seen a billionaire who made it through hard work and luck. If that is the case everyone would be wealthy in Nigeria, especially those who do betting. That is not to say that luck doesn't exist. It does. Being a billionaire requires hard work, plenty of smart work and a little bit of luck.
People have the right to do whatever they like with their money,. But staking it for their generations to come while a lot of people live in poverty, has no moral justification. It breeds crime and insecurity. When wealth is in the hands of few individual, the issue of poverty hasn't be solved. If one rises and helps another to, and another does same, it goes round and everyone would be happy and crime would be reduced too.
If I reach that level enh, that's what I will do.

Long ago we grew with the mindset of go to school, get the certificate and then a good job..now this has been working out in the 90s but you get to make expenses from the salary, sometimes paying accumulated debt before the salary is been paid and at the end of all these expenses you land nack to where you started,
Currently the reverse is the case now…for a poor man now it’s not all about working hard or getting the good certificate but it’s all about working smarter, instead or getting a job you’re working on creating one…finding tools to solve daily problems..for example take a look at a taxi driver and then the building of bolt app..now one is working harder and other smarter..and guess who is becoming a billionaire soon??

Yes all of us are gonna be billionares in a few from our hard work and luck… it is certain that luck would shine at some given point in time but then there’s got to be something for the luck to shine upon…. Can you imagine or take a seed for an example, when you bury the seeds they still need the sun to shine on them for it to decay and grow into the beautiful flowers you see…. So yeah hardwork and luck goes together or hand in hand like seeds and sunlight!
And yeah! Other side is crazy but still a yes only depending on the context and I feel there should be a bit more clarity… it depends on where the wealth is coming from and ownership…. Government wealth shouldn’t be used for such purposes like securing for next personal generation but individual wealth can be used for that. If an individual earns a living that could be transferred to another generation when the other side of the majority population is struggling with bills , it is just still à Normal and natural situation. There will always be poor and rich. If it were in my court maybe If I were musk I could slash my wealth to help poor people pay bills but you know it’s his choice we can’t force him…. Life is unpredictable and very unsyntaxed.
If the rich decides to help the poor with bills it’s their choice not like they are obligated to do so.

It's late, but I still wish to share this.
So, I went to church today. We were exhorted on practicing true Christianity according to the scripture, that which is uncorrupted. Part of the message also emphasised the need to lead a life that will cause others to seek God or come close to Him, rather than the opposites.
After church, I was just home. I later watched the match of the day; Arsenal vs Manchester United. Arsenal fall hands, though I'm not a fan. The day was okay and fine.
