Never took my wallet security seriously untill your last session on #hivenaija last Sunday...
Reading this I feel more anxious on better ways to keep safe as I explore the #DeFi space..

Do they stock the hard wallet locally in Nigeria or you had to import it..And how do you ensure you get a safe one that's not been compromised

This is a good question. I bought it from a friend in Nigeria who imported it for a purpose.
There are four ways peculiar to ledger nano when checking for non-compromised one:
✔️ When turning on your Ledger Nano X for the first time, it should display the Ledger Logo
✔️ Check your Recovery sheets came in blank.
✔️ Set up your Ledger device by yourself. ...
✔️ Choose your own PIN code.
✔️ Contact Ledger Support in case of doubt.
