Solace on the rock

I've tried my best to stay among many

But their thoughts and actions make me weary

I sought solace in silence and noise

The expression is quite disturbing a choice

My best I did to get my desires among my peers

But folks with plain disturbance kept coming in numbers

To stop the pain and unnecessary interference

There's need for isolation and adventures without fear

In loneliness I'll love to spend my time

My choice of peace is on bikes and mountain tops seasoned with ice and lovely birds

Where else can I get silence and noise with such harmony?

****END*****

I see a guy who got tired of noise on the street. He got tired of the noise that comes with living in the city. He decided to enjoy some sport with his bicycle on the mountain top and in loneliness.

An interesting take on the picture prompt! Often times, we need to shut out the noise and chaos of our world and enjoy some solitude or alone time. It's a good way to relief stress and enjoy the nature around. Inspiration can flow during this time as well! A fine poem. Well done.

He wants to escape the noise and pollution of the streets to the serenity here, but let him beware of danger that lurks on the steep cliff.

He seeks serenity and if being on top that awesome Cliff gives him the peace he desires, why not?

You are right! There's peace and quiet on top mountains and riding through with a bike could be the shortest distance to heaven 😊

Super! I don't bicycle on mountains but I do exactly know what the biker means/feels.

Indeed where can one go to be alone with only their thoughts without fear of interruption just for the sake of annoying someone. Being alone and being lonely are two different states of being. The first is by choice. Seeking solace is the key. The person chooses the quiet above the noise of company.

Thanks for sharing this poem. Lovely piece and thought read that I myself have done many times.

Take care.
