Emerging Stronger From Your Challenges

There is a level of beauty that gold will not attain until it is passed through fire. There is a level of hardness that clay will not attain until it is passed through fire. Without passing the raw gold through fire, the beauty in it will not emerge. Without passing clay through fire, it will be susceptible to cracks. In the same way, there are challenges that you need to pass through in other for you to emerge stronger and better. This is why you do not have to look at challenges as problems but you have to see them as the necessary springboards to take you to your desired height.

When a kid is learning how to work, you will agree with me that it will not be a jolly ride all the way. Obviously, the kid will fall over repeatedly but all that will strengthen him the more and make him learn how to walk. If he becomes scared of falling, then he will not take his first step. In the same way, being scared of challenges is to limit your steps, which will consequently limit your advancement. Instead of wishing for challenges not to come, you should rather build up your maturity to take advantage of the challenges as they come.

More often than not, challenges are ladened with opportunities. However, You will only see the opportunities if you are able to look beyond the challenges. If challenges were to be nonexistent, then opportunities will also be nonexistent. Take this instance: When people were faced with the challenges of communication and social mediarism, one man (Mark Zuckerberg) rode on the challenges to create his project which we now see as Facebook. This solved the challenges of social mediarism and also made him a top influencer of renown in the tech world.

For every challenge that comes to you, there is something to gain from it. Firstly, it will make you stronger and better, then it will create opportunity for you but only if you are willing to take advantage of it. The truth is, most times, opportunity will not come as people have expected it to come, it may carry the facade of challenges. It is only the mature at heart that will be able to see opportunities in challenges.

You will agree with me that the reason there is examination in academics is not to stop you from advancing but to prove that you are ready and well prepared for the next class. For you to gain access to a next and higher class, it is demanded that you will sit for, and pass, certain examination. More so, as you progress into a higher class, the complexity of the examination will be increased because you are now at a higher level. In the same way, as you progress in life, the challenges that you will meet will tend to increase because you have bigger things at stake.

If you stay without challenges for long, then it might be that you are not making progress or you are progressing in a wrong direction. The presence of challenges should indicate to you that you are actually making a considerable progress in the right direction. The truth is, challenges are part of what makes an individual. For example, the navigational prowess and acumen of a sailor cannot be tested in the calm waters but in the billowing and boisterous sea.

If you have to be better and stronger, then you should be ready to take advantage of challenges. The truth is, whether you like it or not, as long as you are making a positive progress, challenges and oppositions will arise, but it is how you deal with them that will determine if they will be in your favour or not.
