Life Is Not Over Yet: Success Can Still Happen
As long as you are living, then you have to be prepared for challenges, because these are part of the very many inevitables of life. There may come to a point in your life when it looks like everything is going in an exactly opposite direction to what you had intended for it. The road to journey of success is not always paved with gold, it can be full of thorns, but once there is life, then success can still happen. A lot of people have moved from failure to achieving outstanding success, just to prove that any good thing can happen.

In a football match, no matter the scoreline, as long as the match is still on, then both of the teams have fair chances of winning. I have watched a match where a team was down by 2 goals and within just a few minutes, they equalized both goals and still went ahead to score the winning goal. In the same way in life, success can still happen since there is life. Of course, the hopes of positive things happening is hinged on the sustenance of life itself. So do not give up on your goals, aspirations, desires, and targets, irrespective of what is happening. When you achieve the success, all those struggles will be part of your success story.
Drawing a few lessons from the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) football tournament held in Cote d'Ivoire. During the group stage, the host country lost about two of their matches - against Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea. In fact, they were virtually out of the competition, but had to re-qualify based on "best losers," how lucky. When everyone had given up on them, they kept pushing through with the competition; they went through the round of 16, through to quarterfinals, then to semifinals, and finally made their way to the finals where they met with the Nigerian national team - whom they had lost to initially in the group stage.
The final match started and Nigeria scored a goal against them, which would have discouraged them, but it rather lifted their spirits to fight back. Shortly they equalized, and just when it mattered the most, they scored again to beat Nigeria in the finals; who they had lost to initially. These goes to prove that until the final whistle is blown, anything can happen. They went from being the best losers to winning the AFCON tournament. Many lessons to learn from them: if you will not give up, success is sure to come. More so, as long as you can still try, then success can still happen. In addition to this, you have to know that success is not determined by your first attempt but what happens subsequently.

That you tried and missed does not mean that you cannot get it in your next attempt. It may just be the next attempt that will decide your breakthrough, so do not quit. The journey to success is usually toughest when you are closest to your destination, so do not allow anything to stop you from keeping on with your actions. You only fail if you quit trying, but as long as you are still making attempts, then you are still in the game and it is not over. You are the one to determine when it is over. It becomes over when you have agreed that it is. If you have a mindset of winning, you will not quit at the sight of challenges.
No matter what life throws at you, always have in mind that life is worth living. Do not be afraid of mistakes when trying. Even if you make one, correct yourself and try again. Successful people are not necessarily the people who have never experienced any form of failure in their lives, but it also includes those who have been able to rise above their failures and have achieved their goals. You may not have been seeing things play out as expected, but things will fall into place if you do not quit. After all, you do not judge the entire day by what happened in the morning. I conclude with this wise statement from one of my mentors:
Falling and rising up does not make you a failure but falling and remaining there.
