Never Late To Do The Right Thing

It does not matter how long and how far you have progressed in the wrong path, there is still hope of making a u-turn to the right part. Of course, the wrong path will not lead to the right destination, the same way that the wrong methods will not give rise to the right result. The only option is to do what is right. The good news is that, as long as there is life, then it is not yet late to do the right thing. When you turn a new leaf today, it will mark the beginning of a new and better things for you. You may have lost a couple of things by doing the wrong things, but with a change of actions towards the right, you stand a chance to gain them back and even more. Right things can be started today and they will impact positively on you.

You may not have had a chance to go back to alter the bad actions that you had taken in the past, because it is already passed and beyond your reach. However, you have every power within you to take a right action today that will positively impact on your life tomorrow. There is a very popular saying in the Eastern part of the country that goes like this "anytime that someone chooses to wake up from the sleep with automatically mark their own morning." This is not about literal sleeping and waking up but it is talking about when someone turns to make the right choices, take the right actions, and make the right moves in life will become the opening of better things for them.

No matter the kind of efforts you have put into the wrong action, you cannot achieve the right result. This is just like accelerating very hard while driving along the wrong road and hoping the get to the right destination. In fact, the speed will become a disadvantage to the person because the faster they driving on that road, the farther away they will keep being from the destination. The only solution will be to stop, then turn the car and position on the right road, so as to have the hope of getting to the destination. I remember a time when I was given a particular task that I was pretty unfamiliar with to undertake during my time of internship. This was when I realized that it is only the right methods that can yield the right result.

When the task came, I thought it was something that I could do, so I proceeded in it. I was on it for almost two days, and it was at this point that I knew something was not too right. I had to consult a senior colleague at that time to enquire how long the task was supposed to take and he said maximum 2 hours. Surprisingly, I had already done it for about 2 days without getting anywhere near the result. So I asked him to direct me, he simply gave me the guidelines on how to do it. I discovered that I had been doing it the wrong way all these while. When I started the right way, in less than 1hour, the work was fully done and I was very happy with the result.

Progressing in doing the wrong thing will make the efforts of no effect, and will also make you to expend energy in futility. Even in our day-to-day lives and our dealings with people, it is always good to do the right thing and do it rightly. One of the things that are freely given to humankind is the gift of conscience. Trust me, if you are doing something right, you will have the knowledge within you that what you are doing is right. In the same way, if you are doing something wrong, you will strongly know that it is wrong. The only thing that will guarantee a good and right result is when you do something rightly. Always have in mind that it takes doing things rightly and following the right way that you will get the desired result. I conclude with this popular phrase as I paraphrase:

You cannot break the rule and not be broken by the rule. To get the prize, you must play by the rule - pay the price.
