You Can Reinvent Yourself At Any Age
One of the things that I have learnt in life is that it is never late to write the story of your life. Some people believe that their lives will be completely locked in when they get to their twenties or even thirties. This is why you see people choose a particular career path early, then stick to it with their soul no matter how unfulfilled they are in it. Some people even view changing a pathway as a failure, or that they did not make the right choice at the initial. The truth is that there is no age that is too late to make something happen in your life. After all, aging should not be seen as a process of shrinking possibilities. You have to understand that the choices you made in the past are not life's sentences. As long as you are still alive, you can realign yourself. Reinventing yourself does not mean that you will erase your past, of course you cannot. Rather it is about writing a brand new chapter about yourself.
I have seen people who started a new career at old age and that career became what brought them to limelight. Take Colonel Harland Sanders for example. It was in his 60s that he began the KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). You will agree with me that at that age, a lot of people are actually thinking of retiring, but it was the same age that he reinvented himself. He discovered that that was what he would be fulfilled at doing, and he started. He did not allow age to become a stumbling-block to his progress. Now, the same franchise has gone global even after the man has long gone. At the moment, it has become a household name.
You have to understand that in life, there is nothing like a strict "fixed time," and it only exists in people's mindset. It is never too late for someone to start all over again. Most times, people look at the years that they have invested into something, like a career, in relationship, lifestyle, etc, so they will not want to let go. But what they fail to understand is that continuing to stay in a path that drains their spirit because of how long they have stayed in it will not make them to secure the future. Understand that the years you have spent are not actually wasted, rather they have conferred on you the experiences, emotional maturity, and self-knowledge that you need, which you can still transfer to your new path. This means that you are not necessarily starting from the scratch, but you are starting with a lot of experiences.
To reinvent yourself, you have to embrace a beginner's mindset. When you have gone far in one area, stepping down and starting again in an unknown path will require a considerable amount of humility. You have to be willing and ready to ask questions, go through the process of learning, and even make mistakes. This also involves replacing your comfort with the uncertain. With this mindset, you will become curious to know more, to achieve more, and then you will come to realise that youthfulness is not a function of age but but of mindset. After all, you are only as old as you have conditioned your mind to believe.

You also need to leverage on the power of adaptability. The truth is that you may find yourself in a path where you are not familiar with, or you may even be required to do things you have not been used to, so you have to learn to adapt to the new methods. Changes will definitely come, so be ready for it. You are not to fight the change, rather you are to welcome it, then adjust and adapt to it. In the new phase of your life, adaptability will become your ultimate superpower. The people who thrive are not those who hold on strictly to the old methods, but those who are ready to unlearn and relearn as they chart a new course.
When you are charting a new course for your life or reinventing yourself, you have to consider your future. You may not be able to undo or edit what you did in the past, neither can you change the past, but you can create the kind of future you want by the actions you take today. So make your present actions to count towards your dream.

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
