As the warring parties approaches, it just walk away without looking back. It is tired and hunts less. But Sime, his son is still charging and ruling over other animals.
His pride still loves it and provide meat regularly. They feel obligated to do so. They remember how it feed for the whole family for years. It hunts alone since its wife, the matriach of the pride died. Now, very old and tired. They are feeding it and Sime allows its sons to play with their grand father to cheer it up.
