5 Things About 3Speak You Probably Didn’t Know (Part 1)
Hello everyone! It’s really mind-blowing that despite everything going on on the Hive blockchain, the price going down, we still have something very incredible happening. Today, I want to tell you five things about 3Speak that you probably don’t know. To be honest, the updates have been mind-blowing because they’ve been coming very fast, and I don’t know, it’s just incredible. You leave Hive for one year and come back, and you’ll be mind-blown. So in this post, I’m going to give you five things about 3Speak you probably don’t know. And the fifth one might shock you. So if you are reading, get ready, and let’s dive into it.
I’m going to make this into two parts. This will be part one of five things about 3Speak you might not know. Much later, I’m going to do another part. I think this is just fun because the updates excite me. At the end of this post, I’ll tag the team that is behind the work feel free to follow them
1. 3Speak Has a New Landing Page
Do you know that 3Speak has a new landing page?
I added this because many people still use the old 3Speak website, legacy.3speak.tv and I need you to know this. By the end of this post, you will know the amazing things on the new website that you are missing out on. Just go to 3Speak.tv, and you will see that it’s different. Some people still use legacy.3Speak.tv. So yeah, first things first, 3Speak has a new landing page, which is 1,000 times better than the old one.
2. 3Speak Might Be the Best Web3 Video Platform
Do you know that you might mistake 3Speak for Instagram or TikTok?
And I’m saying this seriously: you could literally be scrolling and watching videos on TikTok or Instagram, then quickly log on to 3Speak.tv, and it might feel like you’ve never left. Now, when you get to the landing page of 3Speak, it seems similar to our usual Web2 apps, which is incredible. I feel like more credit should go to the developers because everything looks almost the same. You can see your following, and it’s even better because, unlike TikTok or Instagram, which choose to show you whatever is recent or trending on your FYP, with 3Speak, you can literally scroll through only your followers’ videos. You can check new content, see people posting for the first time! this is just amazing. You can click on a short video, keep scrolling, and more videos load continuously. That’s crazy, and that’s really, really nice.
3. 3Speak Has Short Video Content
Do you know you can make short video content?
3Speak has short content. Now, you might be wondering, what do I mean by short content? You could literally take your camera and post a video of less than 60 seconds, and you could earn from doing that, which is incredible. Same way we have snapie, where you could write short content, you could also make short video content. This is something that has always been a thing because most people don’t like long content. If you’re following my blog, I think I said something about how attention is very important. So you need to be able to grab people’s attention very fast. If you can do that under 60 seconds, that’s what the world needs. People don’t want to watch long and boring stuff. With 3Speak now, you could just make a video. In fact, you could make as many shorts as you want in a day, and you could actually earn from making shorts. All you need to do is click the plus button, and you will see “Create Shorts,” which is very easy and straightforward.
4. You Can Monitor Your Videos
Do you know that you can monitor your videos? Aside from the fact that 3Speak has very good efficiency in how it navigates and has a very easy and clean interface, do you also know that when you upload a video, you can monitor every aspect of it? When you log on to 3Speak and click to upload a video, unlike the previous version where you couldn’t fully understand when the video was encoding, in this one, you can actually know. You can even check your videos via the gateway monitoring page with the link I’ll provide down this post. You can check how long your video took, It’s just so great. The fact that everything is open for you to see is incredible. You can check upload time, speed, and more…it’s way better than it used to be, at least we have less complaints on the discord these days.
5. You Can Help 3Speak
Do you also know that you can help 3Speak?
When I say help 3Speak, I mean contribute to 3Speak. 3Speak is a video platform, but it is also a witness. You can contribute by following the witness, and you can also contribute by running a node. Do you know you could run a node and help 3Speak for easy access to videos for other people? People can upload videos through your encoding node. Running a node is not so difficult. I can share some links if you are getting started on how to run a node that can be useful for 3Speak.
Anyways, those are five things I think you might not know. And I believe there are many more updates coming. This is me telling you that there are other things you might still not know. So watch out for part two. If you’ve been using 3Speak for a while and stopped, now is the best time to come back. Very soon, there will be interesting quests and new features coming. I believe making videos has never been this easy on the blockchain than now. So…

They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone

Are you still working on subtitles for videos?
The subtitles work smoothly in the background so new videos don't have them at the start but will get them automatically after some time. "Some time" is defined by the amount this background task has to do - so more videos -> slower subtitle generation. Did you spot any videos that do not have subtitles but an actual voice track? Then please let us know in the 3speak discord or here as comment and I will have a look :)

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
